Dips and Sauces
Mustard Dip
Ingredients:
200 ml canned milk
3 tbsp. Dijon mustard
1 onion
2 tsp. sugar
Seasoning: salt to taste
Preparation:
1. Peel the onion and chop it up into small pieces.
2. Mix all of the ingredients together well, add seasoning and chill.
3. Tastes superb with chips, potato wedges or as a dip for vegetable sticks.
Tomato Dip
Ingredients:
2 tsp. olive oil
1 onion
1 green chilli pepper
1 garlic clove
1 tin chopped tomatoes
approx. 350 ml stock
2 tbsp. brown sugar
Seasoning: pepper
Preparation:
1. Peel the onion and chop it up into small pieces.
2. Wash the chilli pepper, remove the core and chop it up into small pieces.
3. Peel the garlic and press it through the garlic press.
4. Heat the oil in a pan and fry off the onion, garlic and chilli until the onions are
glazed and soft.
5. Add the tomatoes together with the juice and broth.
6. Allow the mixture to simmer away for a few minutes.
7. Add sugar and pepper to taste.
8. Then allow the mixture to cool and chill.
9. Tastes superb with chips, potato wedges or as a dip for vegetable sticks.
