Peach Strudel
Portions: 1
Preparation time: approx. 30 minutes
Cooking time: approx. 30 minutes
Ingredients:
1 pck. puff pastry, from the refrigerated cabinet
1 pck. sponge nger biscuits
1/2 pck. vanilla pudding
1/2 cup crème fraîche
1 can peaches
Preparation:
1. Prepare the vanilla pudding as per the package instructions and then allow it to
cool.
2. Stir the crème fraîche into the pudding.
3. Place the peaches into a sieve and allow them to drain. Collect the peach juice.
4. Roll out the puff pastry and separate off two puff pastry squares of roughly equal
size. The puff pastry squares should be of a size such that they t onto the grill
plate without protruding over the edge of the grill plate.
5. Cover one puff pastry square with sponge nger biscuits. Make sure that you
leave a small edge free so that later on you can cover the strudel with the
second puff pastry square and seal it shut.
6. Soak the sponge nger biscuits in the peach juice and then spread the pudding
over the sponge nger biscuits.
7. Cut the peaches into small cubes and place them onto the pudding layer.
8. Place the second puff pastry square onto the strudel like a lid and press down
the edges so that the strudel is nicely sealed shut.
9. Place the turning ring and the grill plate into the device. If necessary, place some
baking paper onto the grill plate and then place the strudel on top of it.
10. Set the cooking temperature to 200 °C.
11. Set the cooking time to approx. 30 minutes and switch on the device.
12. The strudel is ready when it has developed a golden brown colour. If the strudel
starts to become too dark for your liking, reduce the cooking temperature to
180 °C if you need to.
Tip: Choose a vanilla pudding which is mixed without needing to be cooked.
This will mean that the pudding does not have to cool down before you
process it further.
