Loadpump overrun
The cylinder charging pump overrun starts after swit-
ching off of the boiler at the end of the cylinder
charging. During this time, no temperature requirement
is required from the heater(s) which have carried out
the cylinder charging. All other functions (controlling of
the charging pump/switching valve) remain on during
this period of time. This
function is used to supply the high inlet temperatures
required for charging the cylinder to a great extent
before the heating circuits, in particular the burner cir-
cuit, are enabled again.
Maximum limit outside temperature
The maximum limit outside temperature is the outside
temperature at which the demand-dependent heating
shutdown (automatic shutdown in summer) takes effect.
The maximum outside temperature limit can be set
separately for each heating circuit within a range of 5
to 50 °C. The default setting is 21 °C. The required room
temperature is set to 20 °C for each heating circuit
(default setting). If the required room temperature is
changed in the basic menu, the maximum limit for the
outside temperature must also be changed (at least 1 °C
higher than the required room temperature).
Maximum preheating
With this function the activation of the heating circuit
before the heating window is made possible, with the
aim of accessing the set day value at the beginning of
the heating window.
The function is only performed for the first heating win-
dow of the day. The beginning of heating is established,
depending on the outside temperature.
Influence of outside temperature:
OT –20 °C : set preheating period
OT +20 °C : no preheating period
The period of time is calculated linearly between the
two reference values.
Once preheating has been started, it is only ended once
the time window has been reached (not ended if the
outside temperature rises in the meantime).
Maximum preset switch off
This function is used to avoid unnecessary heating of
the heating system directly before a preprogrammed
set-back time. The calculation of the actual time
depends on the outside temperature of the controller.
The set value merely represents the maximum period of
time desired by the customer. Tf the outside tempera-
ture is at -20°C, there is no preset switch-off; at an out-
side temperature of +20°C, the maximum preset switch-
off comes into effect. At outside temperature between
these two reference values, the controller calculates a
value that corresponds to a linear curve between these
two reference values.
Maximum temperature of heating circuit
The maximum forward flow temperature can be set for
each heating circuit. The calculated flow set target tem-
peratures are limited to the set value.
Maximum temperature of solar cylinder
In order to ensure the highest possible gain from the
solar heating of the cylinder, while at the same time
ensuring that limescale protection is active, you can set
a maximum value for the solar temperature cylinder.
For this purpose, the "Upper cylinder temp." sensor,
SP1, is used for Cylinder 1 if it is connected to the cylin-
der in question. Otherwise, the "Lower cylinder temp."
sensor, SP2, is automatically used. For the second cylin-
der (swimming pool), SP3 is used.
If the set maximum temperature is exceeded, the solar
circuit pump is switched off. Solar charging is only
enabled again once the temperature at the active sen-
sor drops 1.5 K below the maximum temperature.
Minimum temperature for solar circuit and solid fuel
boiler
The minimum temperature for each solar circuit or for
the solid fuel boiler (for hydraulic plans with solid fuel
boilers) can be set in the range 0 ... 99 °C.
Note: The delta-T control will only be enabled when the
temperature at the collector sensor > minimum tempe-
rature.
Note: Does not apply in combination with a VPM S or
VMS solar pump unit.
Minimum temperature of heater
The minimum boiler temperature is used to protect the
boiler, e. g. against corrosion, if, for example, the boiler
has to be operated permanently in the condensate
range due to high water capacities. The setting range is
between 15 and 65 °C (default 15 °C).
Mixing circuit/Mixer control
A mixed heating circuit is a heating circuit which is
decoupled from the boiler circuit (temperature) by an
actuator (mixer).
Night set back temperature
The night set back temperature is the temperature to
which your heating system reduces the room tempera-
ture outside of the programmed time window.
Number of heating appliances
They are usually already configured with the system –
parameter setting is only necessary in exceptional cases
(e.g. removing heating appliances (HA) from the sys-
tem).
Number of steps
The stages are usually already configured with the sys-
tem – parameterisation is only necessary in cases where
a two-stage burner is to be actuated in a single stage.
