Reversal boiler sequence (only for cascades)
The aim of the reversal of boiler sequence is an equal
operating time for all connected appliances.
The boiler sequence is changed if:
1. The reversal of boiler sequence has been enabled in
the menu and
2 Reversal of boiler sequence is possible in the
selected hydraulic plan
3 Difference in the duration of activation between first
and last boiler is 100 hours.
- In this case, sorting is in rising order of activation
hours.
- An internal value for the activation hours is used;
the boiler operating hours are not read back.
Remarks:
With heaters with different outputs, it does not make
sense to reverse the boiler sequence.
Outside temperature correction
The sensor value of the outdoor sensor which is con-
nected to the controller can be changed by a value of
+/- 5 °C to compensate external influences. This means
that the measured external temperature is changed to
the set value.
Setting range: –5 K ... +5 K,
Basic setting: 0 K
Parallel charging
This function applies to all connected mixing circuits. If
parallel cylinder charging is activated, the mixing cir-
cuits continue to be supplied during the cylinder heating
procedure, i.e. the pumps in the mixing circuits are not
switched off as long as there is still a need for heating
in the respective heating circuits. HK1 is always switched
off during cylinder charging.
Phone
You can store a telephone number in the display, which
will be automatically displayed when servicing is due.
Pump blocking protection
To prevent a boiler, heating, circulation or charging
pump from seizing, those pumps which have not been
operated for the last 24 hours are actuated for about
20 seconds in sequence every day.
Pump delay time
To save electrical energy, the heating circuit pump can
be switched off for a configurable time according to
defined criteria.
The actual flow temperature is compared with the tar-
get flow temperature of the heating circuit as a crite-
rion for "Energy requirements of the heating circuit are
met". This comparison is made every 15 minutes. If the
difference is not more than 2 K and this criteria is met
three times in a row, the pump is switched off for the
set pump delay time and the mixer remains in the cur-
rent position.
Rev. Seq control
When cascading boilers, the drinking water cylinder in
hydraulic plans 5-8 can have a direct hydraulic connec-
tion with the priority switching valve or the charging
pump of the boiler with the highest eBUS address. In
this case the isolation circuit must be activated. When
there is a request for hot water via cylinder sensor TD2,
the last boiler is used for charging the cylinder: all other
boilers can continue to serve the buffer cylinder.
Selection of hydraulic plan
Nine system configurations (hydraulic plans) are already
stored in the controller. A pre-configuration is carried
out when a hydraulic plan is selected.
When the controller is put in operation, the first thing
that always ensues is a request for the required hydrau-
lic plan. The available hydraulic plans are described in
Chapter 5.
Service
You can store the next maintenance date for the system
here.
Set up heat zone
All connected heating circuits can be configured in the
Installation Assistant (Menu A6) according to how they
are used. Due to the configuration, only those values
and parameters are displayed which are relevant to the
selected type of heating circuit.
The following settings are possible for mixing circuits:
Mixing circuit (floor or radiator circuit as mixing circuit),
Fixed value (i. e. the mixing circuit is regulated to a fixed
value), Return temperature increase (for conventional
heating appliances and systems with large water capaci-
ties as protection against corrosion in the boiler due to
prolonged periods below the dew point), Cylinder
charging current and “disabled” (to suppress the para-
meters if the second mixer module is not required for a
VR 60 mixer module).
Solar-assisted heating:
Solar-assisted heating is used to extract solar heat even
for heating purposes. For this the return temperature in
the heating system is raised.
Using hydraulic plans 1-4, solar-assisted heating can be
achieved with the 3rd difference controller TD1, TD2
and MA.
- TD1 is positioned in the middle of the cylinder,
- TD2 is positioned in the return line.
