Preparation:

• Place the requested milling cutter in the apparatus.

• Release the clamping lever (11), but keep it pressed. The router cutter can be pushed

downwards against the spring pressure.

• Press the apparatus down until the cutter touches the workpiece, and lock the

machine again using the clamping lever (11).

• Turn the turning knob (9) counterclockwise.

• Turn the fine adjustment of milling depth (15) to the “0” position.

• Use the turning knob (8) to turn the depth adjustment right down.

• Tighten the turning knob (9) clockwise. The milling depth is now set to precisely 0

mm.

Quick adjustment:

• Read the value on the scale (12).

• Turn the turning knob (9) counterclockwise.

• Turn the knob (8) and read the value on the scale again. The difference between the

two values is the milling depth set.

Example: The value on the scale (12) reads 8.5 in “0” position. After turning the knob (8),

the value is 7.0. The milling depth set is 1.5 cm in this case.

• Tighten the knob (9) again.

Fine adjustment:

Note: The fine adjustment with knob (15) described works only as long as the tracer

protrudes from the lower side of the depth-control stop.

• The fine adjustment of milling depth (15) on the upper side is still in “0” position. Turn

this knob counterclockwise by a whole turn until it is in “0” position again. The milling

depth is now lower by 1.0 mm.

• If and when required, the milling depth can be set to an accuracy of 0.1 mm.

Adjustment by means of the revolving depth control stop

The revolving depth control stop (21) enables you to quickly select between five different

milling depths. They can also be determined by the adjustment of the depth control stop

(10).

• Set the requested milling depth by turning the revolving depth control stop (21).

5. MAINTENANCE

Disconnect the machine from the mains, if you have to carry out any

maintenance work.
