Toledo 55
The machine has been designed to operate without problems and with a minimum of
maintenance for a long time. You will extend the service life by cleaning the machine
regularly and by handling it correctly.
Cleaning
Use a soft cloth to clean the housing regularly, preferably after every use. Keep the
ventilation slots free from dust and dirt. Remove any persistent dirt with a soft cloth
moistened with soapy water. Do not use any solvents, such as petrol, alcohol, ammonia,
et cetera. Such agent will damage plastic parts.
Lubrication
The apparatus requires no additional lubrication.
Faults
If the motor does not run correctly any more after a longer period of operation, the carbon
brushes of the motor may be worn. In this case, please proceed as follows:
Remove the plug from the mains socket.
• Switch the apparatus off and remove the connector plug from the mains socket.
• Unscrew the cover caps (22) for the carbon brushes of the motor on the front and
rear side of the router cutter by using a screw-driver to turn them counterclockwise.
• Remove the consumed carbon brushes by pulling them out of the metal plate with the
spring, and replace them by new carbon brushes.
• Screw the two cover caps (22) clockwise up to stop. Ensure the correct position of the
metal plate in the opening.
If the replacement described above should not be successful or if a fault should occur due
to the wear of a part, please get in touch with the service address mentioned on the
warranty card. The rear part of these instructions of use gives a detailed overview of parts
which can be ordered.
Warranty
The warrenty conditions are rendered on the loosely enclosed warranty card.
6. DISPOSAL
In order to prevent damage in transit, the machine is supplied in a solid packaging.
The packaging consists primarily of recyclable materials. Dispose of them ecologically.
In keeping with the Directive 2002/96/EC, the product has to be disposed of in an orderly
manner at the end of its service life. Ask your local disposal company.
