2. Loosen 2 screws on the left-hand side to open the glass window. Open the glass window all the way to
the right and then lift the window upwards out of the hinges (see page 9 figure 1).
3. Remove decorative log set and burner.
4. Dismantle burner unit. First detach the two cable connectors of the outlet safety (T.T.B.) on the left-
hand side of the burner unit and draw the wire out. Disconnect the gas pipe.
5. Dismantling combustion chamber. Remove the 2 screws at the top left and right of the combustion
chamber (see page 9 fig. 2). The combustion chamber can now be pulled (forward) out of the built-in
casing.
5.3 Installing the fireplace.
1. Installing the built-in casing
Mount the pipe mouth of the fire to the outlet duct. In order to achieve maximum heat emission, we recom-
mend insulating the built-in casing with non-combustible insulating material. Now slide the built-in casing
under the outlet duct and mount the pipe mouth to the casing, using the four self-tapping screws supplied. Do
this by tightening the screws upwards from the inside of the built-in casing. The built-in casing has an up-
right finishing edge which is placed against the opening of the mantelpiece during installation, thus deter-
mining the correct recessed depth. If you screw the front onto the built-in casing, you will be able to establish
whether the casing is flush with the wall. The height of the built-in casing can be adjusted by means of 4 ad-
justment bolts in the bottom of the casing. When the correct height has been set, you must fix the built-in
casing to the floor. Do this by means of screws and plugs in the holes made in the base plate. (Screws and
plugs are not supplied)
Warning
The fireplace should not be completely built-in. The front must remain free, in connection with expansion. If
a new mantelpiece is being built, the built-in casing must not bear the weight of the mantelpiece. A mantle
iron should always be used, therefore, which must not rest on the built-in casing and bears the complete
weight of the mantelpiece.
2. Assembly combustion chamber
Slide the combustion chamber into the built-in casing and secure it again by means of the 2 screws.
3. Connection burner unit
When mounting the burner unit, bring the lead of the fan out through the opening in the right-hand side of
the body. Slide the burner unit inside, well to the back of the combustion chamber.
4. Connection gas pipe
The gas pipe can be connected on either the right or the left-hand side. Fittings (3/8” G male thread) have al-
ready been mounted so that the burner unit can easily be dismantled later, for cleaning etc. The connection of
the gas pipe must be stress-free.
Important
Do not forget to reconnect the outlet safety (T.T.B.). Draw the lead for the safety device into the burner tray
and attach it to the two connectors of the thermocouple. If the connectors are not properly mounted, the fire
will not burn. In order to ensure that the fire functions well, the thermostat sensor should be placed outside
the fireplace, so that it reacts to the room temperature and not to the temperature of the fire. It must definitely
not be left inside the appliance.
Check
Use soapy water or a leak detector to check the gas tightness of the gas connection made. Put the plug for the
fan into the socket. Ignite the fire according to the operating instructions.
