1. Insert the cone core and cone sleeve into the turntable.
2. Center clay disk on sleeve and press the sides to form the clay
around the sleeve. Avoid pressing too hard on top edge. If holes
or cracks form, don’t worry - you can patch with a piece of clay.
3. Turn the machine to “|” (slow) and spray the clay with water.
(10-12 sprays) Cup your hands around the clay and apply strong
pressure on each side until the clay becomes smooth and even.
4. NOTE: The cone shaped core may form a hole at the top during
turning. To repair, turn the machine off and use some excess clay
to press over the hole.
5. When satisfied with your design turn machine to “0” (off), and
use the knife tool to trim excess clay from the bottom. (Store
extra clay in a resealable plastic bag to prevent clay from drying
out.)
6. Create a design on the sides by placing the tip of the knife tool
lightly against the clay while spinning (on “I” slow).
7. To remove your project, remove turntable from machine and
press down onto work surface. Your project should lift off from
the turntable. Slide the flat side of the knife under the sleeve if it
is not lifting.
8. Make the hole for the smart phone by cutting against the
core/sleeve and remove the clay. Make sure you cut the hole at
least 1/4” wider than the thickness of your phone and halfway
down the cone. (see photo). You can also add feet by using extra
clay.
9. Remove the plastic core and sleeve and completely dry overnight
before painting.

1. Insérer le moule et la gaine coniques dans le plateau rotatif.
2. Centrer le disque d'argile sur la gaine et appuyez sur les côtés
pour façonner l'argile tout autour. Éviter d'appuyer trop fort sur
le bord supérieur. Si des trous ou des fissures se forment, pas
d'inquiétude: il est possible de les combler avec un bout
d'argile.
3. Placer l'interrupteur sur | (lent) et vaporiser l'argile avec de l'eau
(10-12pulvérisations). Mettre les mains autour de l'argile et
appuyer fermement sur chaque côté jusqu'à ce que l'argile soit
lisse et uniforme.
4. REMARQUE: L'utilisation du moule conique peut entraîner la
formation d'un trou en haut de la poterie. Pour le réparer,
éteindre la machine et appliquer un peu d'argile sur le trou.
5. Une fois la forme souhaitée obtenue, placer l'interrupteur sur «0
» (OFF) et utiliser l'outil à évider pour enlever l'excédent d'argile
au bas de la poterie (conserver l'excédent d'argile dans un sac
en plastique hermétique afin d'éviter qu'elle ne se dessèche.)
6. Créer un motif sur les côtés en appuyant doucement avec la
pointe de l'outil à évider contre l'argile et en faisant tourner la
poterie (interrupteur sur «I» - Lent).
7. Pour détacher la poterie, retirer le plateau rotatif de la machine
et l'appuyer sur le plan de travail. La poterie devrait se détacher
du plateau rotatif. Faire glisser le côté plat de l'outil à évider
sous la gaine si elle ne lève pas.
8. Créer l'emplacement pour le smartphone en découpant et en
enlevant l'argile le long du moule/de la gaine. La largeur du trou
doit dépasser d'au moins 0,6cm l'épaisseur du smartphone et
le trou doit être découpé au milieu du cône (voir photo). Il est
également possible d'ajouter des pieds en utilisant de l'argile
supplémentaire.
9. Retirer le moule et la gaine en plastique et laisser sécher
complètement jusqu'au lendemain avant de peindre.
