Lynx will conrm the coordinate has been deleted by displaying ‘Position Cleared’.
To delete all the user stored coordinates on Lynx
Press the ‘OK’ button when ‘User Points is displayed in the menu options.
Highlight the ‘Delete All’ option by pushing the ‘UP/DOWN’ button then press the ‘OK’ button.
A new screen will be displayed asking you to Conrm Delete? with the options of ‘Yes or ‘No’. Highlight your desired option then
press the ‘OK’ button to conrm deletion. The unit will conrm the coordinates have been deleted by displaying ‘Position Cleared’.
8. Change Language
This feature will allow you to select the language of the menu options and voice alerts on the unit. There are nine languages
available; English, French, Dutch, German, Spanish, Norwegian, Portuguese, Swedish and Finnish.
9. Smart Mute
The Smart Mute setting provides an alternative alert when approaching a Fixed Speed
Safety Camera. If you are travelling below the posted speed limit the unit will provide
an audible alert but then the rest of the alert is visual only. As the unit counts down the
distance to the Fixed Speed Safety Camera the alert is visual only. If you are travelling
above the posted speed limit however you will receive both an audible and a visual
alert as normal. Once you drop below the posted speed limit for that Fixed Speed Safety
Camera the audible alert will cease and the unit will only provide a visual alert.
Note: The smart mute function does not apply to locations received via GPRS.
To adjust the Smart Mute setting
Press the ‘OK’ button when ‘Smart Mute is displayed in the menu options.
Highlight your desired option (‘ON’ or ‘OFF’) by pushing the ‘UP/DOWN’ button.
Once you have highlighted your desired setting press the ‘OK’ button. The unit will display ‘Setting Conrmed’ indicating the new
setting has been saved.
10. Set Time
Lynx displays the time on the Standby Screen. This reading is updated by the GPS
Atomic Clock and is generated directly from Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) and is
completely accurate. However it does not automatically adjust for British Summer Time
(BST) or Central European time (CET) and is required to be adjusted manually. The device
is supplied with a factory default setting of GMT+0.
To adjust the time
Press the OK’ button when ‘Set Time’ is displayed in the menu options ‘GMT + 0 is
displayed.
Push the ‘UP/DOWN’ button until the desired time is displayed then press the ‘OK’ button. The unit will display ‘Setting Conrmed’
indicating the new setting has been saved.
11. Logic
There are three Logic modes that you can select on Lynx. These dierent Logic settings
determine how Lynx alerts you to xed speed safety cameras.
To change the logic mode:
Press the ‘OK’ button when ‘Logic’ is displayed in the menu options.
