Once your desired setting is displayed press the ‘OK’ button to save the new setting. The unit will display ‘Setting Conrmed.
Note: The speed limit alert will only activate once you exceed your speed limit setting. If you remain above your speed limit
you will not receive another alert until your speed drops below your speed limit setting and you then increase your speed
again.
3. Select Road Type
As specied in the Operating Instructions section earlier in this manual you can select
the road type to screen out unwanted alerts on A and ‘B’ roads when you are on a
Motorway or screen out unwanted alerts when travelling on an A or ‘B’ road of camera
locations situated on a motorway.
To alter the road type
Press the ‘OK’ button when ‘Select Road Type’ is displayed in the menu options.
Highlight your desired option (‘City, ‘M-way or All’) by using the UP/DOWN button.
Once you have highlighted your desired setting press the ‘OK’ button. The unit will display ‘Setting Conrmed’ indicating the new
setting has been saved.
4. Set Volume
You can set the volume level of your unit by selecting this option.
To change the volume setting:
Press the ‘OK’ button when ‘Set Volume is displayed in the menu options.
To increase the volume push the ‘UP/DOWN button upwards; to decrease the volume
push the ‘UP/DOWN’ button downwards.
Press the ‘OK’ button to save the new setting. The unit will display ‘Setting Conrmed’.
5. Set Alert Tone
There are three audible settings to choose from:
Hard Tone
Soft Tone

To select your alert tone:
Press the ‘OK’ button when ‘Set Alert Tone’ is displayed in the menu option.
Highlight your desired option by pushing the ‘UP/DOWN’ button upwards or downwards.
Once your desired setting is highlighted press the ‘OK’ button to save the new setting. The unit will display ‘Setting Conrmed’.
6. Voice Alerts
Lynx has a selectable voice alert which is switched ‘ON by default. This facility allows
your unit to inform you to exactly what type of location you are approaching without
you having to take your eyes from the road. The unit also indicates the posted speed
limit for that location.
To alter the settings for voice alerts:
Press the ‘OK’ button when Voice Alerts’ is displayed in the menu options.
