Highlight your desired option (‘ON’ or ‘OFF’) by pushing the ‘UP/DOWN’ button upwards or downwards.
Once you have highlighted your desired setting press the ‘OK’ button. The unit will display ‘Setting Conrmed’ indicating the
setting has been saved.
Note: If voice alerts are turned OFF’ the unit will alert you to the location of a Fixed Speed Safety camera by a series of beeps.
The visual display will remain the same.
7. User Points
It is possible to add and edit your own personal locations on Lynx. To add a new location
make sure you are stationary and parked in a safe, legal manner then press the Target’
button, highlight ‘Save to Device by pressing the power button twice then press the
Target’ button to store the location.
NOTE: If you save a user point to the device it will not be shared with other Lynx
users.
To view your saved coordinates:
Press the ‘OK’ button when ‘User Points is displayed in the menu options.
‘Edit’ is highlighted by default. Press the ‘OK’ button to view or edit your stored coordinates.
To scroll through the user points you have stored push the ‘MENU’ button to select the user point.
To edit the user point:
Once you have selected the user point that you wish to edit push the ‘UP/DOWN button downwards – ‘CAM TYPE’ will be selected.
Push the ‘MENU’ button until the correct camera type is displayed.
Push the ‘UP/DOWN button downwards ‘LIMIT’ will be highlighted. Push the ‘MENU button until the correct speed limit for that
location is displayed.
Push the ‘UP/DOWN’ button downwards‘SPD TYPE’ will be highlighted. Push the ‘MENU’ button to select either ‘MPH’ or ‘KMH’
Once you have made your changes press the ‘OK’ button. The unit will display ‘Setting Conrmed’ to indicate the changes have
been saved.
Troubleshooting – Saving New Coordinates
When you attempt to save a new coordinate but the display reads Weak Signal!’ it means that Lynx is not receiving sucient signal
strength to plot the position. Please ensure that Lynx has a clear view of the sky, the unit is displaying the standby screen and then
try again.
When you attempt to save the new coordinate and the display reads ‘Memory Full’ it means that the memory in Lynx is completely
full. If you want to store any new coordinates you will have to either delete some or all of the existing coordinates stored in the unit’s
memory.
Deleting Stored Coordinates
If you would like to delete any of the coordinates you have stored in your units memory:
Press the ‘OK’ button when ‘User Points is displayed in the menu options.
To delete individual user points highlight ‘Delete by pushing the ‘UP/DOWN button downwards. Once ‘Delete is selected press the ‘OK’
button.
Push the ‘UP/DOWN’ button to scroll through the stored user points. Once the coordinates you wish to delete are visible on the
display, press the ‘OK’ button.
A new screen will be displayed asking you to Conrm Delete?. If you wish to delete the coordinate highlight ‘Yes’ and then press
the ‘OK’ button. If you do not wish to delete the coordinate highlight ‘No and then press the OK’ button.
