• For opening the container, turn the knob to “OPEN“. The sound of air rushing back can be heard. This
sound proves that the contents have been stored in a vacuum.
E. Vacuum-sealing with containers “Family”
Convenient multi-purpose containers for perfect storage in pantries and refrigerators. They are perfect for
frequent use, e. g. for storing dry and fragile food, such as biscuits, flour, coffee or rice.
• Fill the container, leaving at least 3 cm of space to the upper rim.
• Place the lid on the rim of the container.
• Put one end of the connection hose (18) into the hose port of the appliance (5) and the other end into
the knob of the lid of the container.
• Close the upper part of the casing.
• Press the two locking buttons (6) at the front side of the upper part with your thumbs in order to
engage them in the intended holding fixtures (13).
• The appliance is put into operation via the integrated contact switch (9) and the fully automatic
vacuum-sealing process is started.
1. The pump extracts air from the container and the vacuum chamber (15) so that a vacuum is
generated.
2. After the air has been extracted, the pilot lamp (3) starts glowing red – the pump is still in
operation.
3. Now, you can stop the vacuum-sealing process by pressing the manual cover valve (1).
• Disconnect the connection hose (18) from the container and the appliance.
• Press the button at the lid to open the container. The sound of air rushing back can be heard. This sound
proves that the contents have been stored in a vacuum.
F. Vacuum sealing with bottle caps
Attention: Vacuuming pressure may cause very thin glass or plastic bottles to implode and
cause injury. These are therefore not suitable for vacuum sealing with bottle caps.
With the bottle cap you can reclose any open wine or beverage bottle with non-carbonated contents.
Vacuum sealing provides for a slowed down oxidation of the beverage and this is why its quality and taste
are preserved longer.
• Put one end of the connection hose (18) into the hose port of the appliance (5) and the other end into
the bottle cap.
• Press the bottle cap firmly into the bottle.
• Close the upper part of the casing.
• Press the two locking buttons (6) at the front side of the upper part with your thumbs in order to
engage them in the intended holding fixtures (13).
• The appliance is put into operation via the integrated contact switch (9) and the fully automatic
vacuum-sealing process is started.
NOTE: You can interrupt the vacuuming process any time by pressing the manual cover valve (1) and
keeping it pressed until the appliance switches off. If necessary, you can release the locking buttons (6)
by pressing the upper part of the casing (13) down on the left and on the right with both hands.
