Important information on working with your oil press
• Use only seeds and nuts with a high oil content.
• The raw material to be processed must not be larger than peanuts resp. hazelnuts. If necessary,
crush them to ensure optimum processing. To do so, use a mincing knife, for example. Also very small
particles might block the screw conveyor, like e.g. nut crumbs or nut dust, groats or seed powder, which
is produced when pre-treating nuts/seeds in a grinder or blender. In this case we recommend to sieve
the smallest particles before pressing.
• Before filling in the material to be pressed, pay attention that it does not contain foreign matters such
as small stones etc.
• The seeds and nuts to be processed must be sufficiently dried. We recommend to dry them prior to
processing at 60 °C (circulating air) to 80 °C (upper and lower heat) for 2 to 3 hours in the oven to
achieve an optimum oil yield. In ideal circumstances fill in the seeds/nuts when they are still warm. For
storage – also short-term – pack seeds/nuts airtight.
TIP: Start processing with a small amount to test the quality and the moisture content.
TIP: Walnuts are a real hardness test. Ideally use walnuts which have been dried a very long time
(e.g. in a dehydrator, at 50 °C for 24 hours) or nuts from the previous season.
• The appliance is not designed for pressing soya beans or olives.
Error Cause and troubleshooting
Appliance cannot be

• Check whether the locking mechanism is correctly locked.
• Check whether the appliance is correctly plugged in.
• Test the socket by connecting another appliance.
• Check whether the power cord or the plug is damaged.
- If they are damaged, do not use the appliance.
• The appliance is heating-up.
- The pilot lamp flashes or is permanently illuminated in red during heating-up.
• Check if the appliance is assembled correctly.
- If necessary, disassemble and re-assemble the appliance.
• Check whether the lid is correctly seated on the seed container.
- Press the lid firmly.
• Check whether the micro switch at the rear (back upper edge) is clogged.
- Clean the micro switch.
• If the appliance has been used too long, the overheating protection of the
motor is activated.
- Allow the appliance to cool down.
The appliance stops
during operation.
• Check whether the material which has been filled in (too large, too hard or
too moist) blocks the screw conveyor.
- Clear the blockage. (see section on “Clearing an screw conveyor blockage”).
• Seed container empty. There is not sufficient material in the screw conveyor.
The appliance stops automatically after 1 minute.
- Check if there is sufficient material in the hopper or if it is jammed. Refill
if necessary and restart the appliance.
• Check whether the lid is correctly seated on the seed container.
- Press the lid firmly.
• If the appliance has been used too long, the overheating protection of the
motor is activated.
- Allow the appliance to cool down.
