NOTE: If the appliance stops due to a stuck screw conveyor, the material to be processed is too moist. We
recommend in this case to dry the material at approx. 60 °C (circulating air) to 80 °C (upper and lower
heat) for 2 to 3 hours in the oven. To do so, spread the material with a thin layer on a baking tray and put
it at middle level in the oven.
Cleaning and maintenance
CAUTION: Hazard of injury!
• Always unplug the appliance before cleaning!
• Never immerse the base unit and the plug in water nor clean
them under running water!
CAUTION: Hazard of injury and burns!
• Screw conveyor, screw conveyor casing and the bottom side
of the foldable arm become hot during operation!
• Hot surfaces firstly stay hot after switch-off!
NOTE: Improper and/or irregular cleaning can result in mould formation!
• Allow the appliance including accessory parts to cool down after use and clean it thoroughly so that
residues will not dry up.
• If it happened that residues dried up though, so that you are not able to loosen the screw conveyor, you
can try to use a hair-blower to heat it up carefully. The heat may cause the residues emitting some oil,
which will make the disassembly easier. You can also put the screw conveyor together with the screw
conveyor casing into some hot dishwater and let soak for a while.
• All accessory parts are not suitable for cleaning in the dishwasher.
• Remove all detachable parts from the base unit.
• Clean the base unit with a moist cloth and wipe it dry.
• Clean all accessory parts thoroughly in warm water and dishwashing detergent. Use the supplied
cleaning brush so that you can clean all corners, edges and tight spaces.
• Assemble the appliance only after all parts have dried.
• CAUTION: Do not use abrasives or a dissolvent or sharp objects!
• CAUTION: Never use a steam jet appliance for cleaning!
NOTE: If the seal of the screw conveyor is worn or damaged, it must be replaced to ensure proper operation
of the appliances. You can buy the replacement seal at your dealer or in spacialist shops.
Seals are wearing parts and are therefore not covered by the warranty!
