Constant speed electronics
The constant speed electronics maintains
the speed between no load and load nearly
constant and ensures uniform feeding which
produces an even cutting edge.
Electronic overload protection
In case that the machine is extremely over-
loaded, an electronic overload protection
protects the motor from damage. In this
case, the motor stops and restarts only af-
ter the feeding pressure is reduced, res.
after relief.
Temperature-dependent overload
protection
To protect the motor from overheating at
extreme permanent load, it is switched off
by the protective electronic system when
a critical temperature is reached.
After a cooling-down period of approx.
3 5 min., the machine is again ready for
use and can be fully loaded.
When the machine is warmed by use, the
temperaturedependent overload protection
reacts earlier as a result.
LED indicators
The green LED [1-6] shows the operator
that the machine is running. The red LED
[1-5] indicates that the motor is overloaded
to approx. 70 %. If the motor is subject to
an overload of this kind for a lengthy pe-
riod, it will be switched off by the overload
protection device.
If the red LED lights, reduce the feed
force until this red LED goes out again.
The machine is then operating in the per-
missible overload range.
Speed pre-selection
With the speed control [1-4], the speed can
be continuously pre-selected:
Speed 1: 1500 min
–1
Speed 4: 2400 min
–1
Speed 2: 1700 min
–1
Speed 5: 2700 min

Speed 3: 2100 min

Speed 6: 3000 min

The required speed depends on the saw blade
used and the material to be worked.
Run-on Brake
After releasing the On/Off switch, the in-
tegrated run-on brake stops the saw blade
within approx. 2 seconds.
7.2 Cutting Depth Adjustment
Loosen the clamping lever [3-9].
Set the required depth on the cutting depth
scale [3-3].
Re-tighten the clamping lever [3-9].
To achieve the best cutting results, the saw
blade should protrude from the material by
no more than 3 mm.
7.3 Cutting Angle Adjustment
Loosen the winged screws [2-10, 1-11].
Set the cutting depth on the scale [3-7] to
the required value (the cutting angle scale
is marked in 1°-steps).
Re-tighten the winged screws [2-10, 1-11].
The pivot point of the circular hand saws
lies at the point of intersection of the con-
tact level of the guide rail [A] and the cut-
ting edge [B] – gure [5].
WARNING
The maximum cutting depth is reduced
for bevel cuts.
7.4 Cutting Edge Indicator
The cut of the saw blade can be seen on
the cutting edge [1-12] on the front of the
saw table. The cutting edge situated behind
the indicator is valid at the tilt of the saw
to 45° (without the guiding rail).
7.5 Parallel Guide
The parallel guide can be used up to the
width of the cut 180 mm. The bar of the
ruler is inserted into the saw’s slide guide
[2-3] and after setting the required width of
the cut, it is then tightened using the hand
screw with the set backstop.
7.6 Exhaustion
CAUTION
Inhaled dust may damage the air pas-
sages.
Tools should be permanently connected
to the dust exhausting plant.
Wear respirator if you work with dust.
When working in enclosed areas, the cir-
cular hand saw should be connected to an
extraction system. For this purpose, the cir-
cular hand saws are equipped with a tan-
