5.5 Service
Your power tool should be serviced by a qualified specialist using only standard spare
parts. This will ensure that it meets the required safety standards.
6 SAFETY EQUIPMENT
6.1 Cleaving wedge
The cleaving wedge (9) prevents a workpiece being caught by the ascending teeth and being
thrown against the operator. The cleaving wedge must remain in place during operation.
6.2 Saw blade protector
The saw blade guard (8) protects the user from accidentally touching the saw blade and from
flying splinters. The saw blade protector must always remain in place during operation.
6.3 Push stick
The push stick (15) serves as an extension of the hand and protects the user from accidentally
touching the saw blade. The push stick must always be used when the gap between the stop
and the saw blade is less than 120 mm.
7 UNPACKING AND ASSEMBLY
Unpack the unit and make sure all of the pieces are there.
Note: If any of the parts is missing or damaged contact the retailer.
7.1 Assembly (Fig. 1)
Mount base frame (14) and table enlargements and extensions
The base frame (14) consists of four table legs with cross braces that must be mounted.
Required tools:
2 combination wrenches
Connect the four table legs (20) with the four cross braces (21). For this, fix each cross
brace from the inside with two screws (incl. washers) and counternuts to each table leg.
Push the rubber feet (19) onto the supporting legs.
The brackets (22) are fitted through the screw holes in the housing.
Note: Only place the device on a level, skid-proof surface. The device must
not wobble.
7.2 Fitting the parallel fence (Fig. 2)
Insert the parallel fence (13) into the rail of the measuring scale. Check the setting at the
window. Push the locking lever (11) downwards to lock the parallel fence (13) into place. In
order to obtain a perfectly parallel cut, you should check the gap between the fence and the
saw blade at two positions using a meter rule.
7.3 Attach the tilt protection (Fig. 3)
Bolt the tilt protection to the rear supporting legs using bolts (23), washers, spring washers
and nuts.
Screw the adjusting bolts (24) into the tilt protection.
Set the adjusting bolts (24) so that they are in contact with the floor. Then tighten using
counternuts (25).
7.4 Mounting mitre angle stop (Fig. 4)
The mitre angle stop (12) consists of two parts - the stop plate (A) and the angle adjustment (B)
that must be assembled together.
