Adjusting 2° Rear Wheel Camber
Position the tapered washer on the outer side of the rear wheel adapter with the thicker side up in
the desired locking position (from the outer side you can read the engraving »-2°«). Place the second
tapered washer with the thinner side up from the outer side against the first tapered washer (from
the outer side you can read the engraving »+2°«). The outer sides of the two camber washers
are parallel now (see sketch). Insert the rear wheel fitting, put on the lock washer from the inner
side and slightly tighten the hexagon nuts (Fig. 62, items A, C). Check the distance between
rear wheel and side panel and adjust by turning the fitting. Finally tighten the hexagon nuts with
a torque of 50 Nm.
Adjusting 4° Rear Wheel Camber
Position the tapered washer on the outer side of the rear wheel adapter with the thinner side up
in the desired locking position (from the outer side you can read the engraving »+2°«). Place the
second tapered washer on the inner side of the rear wheel adapter with the thicker side up in
the corresponding locking position (from the inner side you can read the engraving »-2°«). The
outer sides of the two camber washers are parallel now (see sketch). Insert the rear wheel
fitting, put on the lock washer from the inner side and slightly tighten the hexagon nuts (Fig. 62,
items A, C). Check the distance between rear wheel and side panel and adjust by turning the
fitting. Finally tighten the hexagon nuts with a torque of 50 Nm.
Please be aware that with a larger negative camber the overall width of the
wheelchair increases and the rear wheels are subjected to greater stresses!
Adjusting the Caster Wheel Journal Angle
After the rear wheels have been mounted in the appropriate position, the caster wheel journal
angle must be re-adjusted so the forks are at 90° in relation to the ground, so as to ensure op-
timal driving behavior of the wheelchair.
