Unsuitable cookware: The display ashes the error signal
alternating with the heat setting on the cooking zone display if:
• no pot has been placed on the selected cooking zone.
• the pot is not suitable for induction cooking.
• the pot is too small or not properly centred on the cooking zone.
Note: The cooking zone will not start operation unless there is a suitable pot on the cooking zone. The display will automatically turn o after
1 minute if no suitable pot is placed on it.
Switching o a single cooking zone

Touch the selection control of the cooking zone you want to switch o.

Turn the cooking zone o by touching the slider control to the left. The display shows:

Turn o the appliance at the main switch after each use. Do not wait until the hob turns o automatically.
Note:
A built-in cooling fan runs automatically to prevent the electronics from overheating. It will continue operation even after you have turned o the
appliance. Do not switch o the power supply to the appliance while the fan is running!
Residual heat warning

The appliance features a residual heat indicator for each cooking zone.
The
indicator appears on the display after the cooking zone is switched o to indicate that the cooking zone is still hot. The indicator disappears
when the surface has cooled to a safe temperature.
• Hint: If you want to heat further pots, use the hotplate that is still hot to save energy.
Boost function

Starting: Touch the heating zone selection control.

Cancelling: Touch the heating zone selection control of which you wish to cancel the boost function.
Option A: Touch the boost control
. The cooking zone reverts to its original setting.
Option B: Touch the slider control. The cooking zone will revert to the level you select.
• The function works in all cooking zones. The cooking zone returns to its original setting after 5 minutes.
Keep-warm function

Flexible area

This area can be used as a single zone or as 3 dierent zones, accordingly to the cooking needs anytime. Flexible area is made of two independent
inductors that can be controlled separately. When working as a single zone, a cookware is moved from one zone to the other one within the
exible area keeping the same power level of the zone where the cookware originally was placed, and the part that is not covered by cookware is
automatically switched o.
Important: Make sure to place the cookwares centered on the single cooking zone. In case of big, oval, rectangular and elongated pots/pans make
sure to place the pans centered on the cooking zone covering both cross.

Large cooking zone: To activate the exible area as a single big zone, press the dedicated keys.
If the pot is moved from the front to the rear part (or vice versa), the exible area detects automatically the new position, keeping the same power.
To add a further pot, press again the dedicated keys, in order to detect the cookware.

3 independent zones: To use the exible area as 3 dierent zones with dierent power settings, press the

Safety mode (child lock)

To ensure the safety of children and to prevent unintended use, the appliance is equipped with an interlock device.
Locking:
Touch the child lock
to prevent children from switching on the hotplates. All keys (except the on/o control ) are
now disabled. The timer displays .
Unlocking:
Make sure the induction hob is turned on. Touch and hold the child lock
for a few seconds. You can now start using
your induction hob.
