Health hazard for persons with electrical implants - Danger of death
24. This appliance complies with electromagnetic safety standards. However, persons with
cardiac pacemakers or other electrical implants (such as insulin pumps) must consult with
their doctor or implant manufacturer before using this appliance to make sure that their
implants will not be aected by the electromagnetic eld.
Hot surface hazard - Failure to use caution could result in injury or cuts. Keep children
away.
25. During use, accessible parts of this appliance will become hot enough to cause burns.
26. Do not let your body, clothing or any item other than suitable cookware contact the
Induction glass until the surface is cool.
27. Beware: Magnetisable metal objects worn on the body may become hot in the vicinity of
the cooktop. Gold or silver jewellery will not be aected.
28. Handles of saucepans may be hot to touch. Check saucepan handles do not overhang
other cooking zones that are on. Keep handles out of reach of children.
29. Failure to follow this advice could result in burns and scalds.

30. No combustible material or products should be placed on this appliance at any time.
31. Never leave the appliance unattended when in use. Boilover causes smoking and greasy
spillovers that may ignite.
32. Warning: Unattended cooking on a hob with fat or oil can be dangerous and may result in
re. Never try to extinguish a re with water, but switch o the appliance and then cover
ame e.g. with a lid or a re blanket.
33. Never use your appliance as a work or storage surface.
34. Never leave any objects or utensils on the appliance.

37. Do not place or drop heavy objects on the cooktop.
38. Do not use pans with jagged edges or drag pans across the Induction glass surface as this
can scratch the glass.
39. Metallic objects such as knives, forks, spoons and lids should not be placed on the hob
surface since they can get hot.
40. The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate
remote-control system.
41. After use, switch o the hob element by its control and do not rely on the pan detector.
42. Warning: Danger of re: Do not store items on the cooking surfaces.
43. Warning: Use only hob guards designed by the manufacturer of the cooking appliance or
indicated by the manufacturer of the appliance in the instructions for use as suitable or hob
guards incorporated in the appliance. The use of inappropriate guards can cause accidents.
Cleaning
44. Do not use a steam cleaner to clean the cooktop.
45. Do not use scourers or any other harsh abrasive cleaning agents to clean your cooktop, as
these can scratch the Induction glass.
Intended use
46. This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
– sta kitchen areas in shops, oces and other working environments;
– farm houses;
– by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
– bed and breakfast type environments.
– Care should be taken to avoid touching heating elements.
