Finally, Ben decides to keep 1 tea Resource token for the next turn. Benoit
receives a total of £900 in phase 2.
Once all the Gentlemen have made sales and fulfi lled contracts move to
phase 3: Evening.
Evening
Evening for Ladies and Gentlemen: The bill
Each Lady passes her purchase(s) to her Gentleman, who will choose whether
to pay for them or not. For each Wardrobe or Servant card he is given, a
Gentleman can choose to:
Replace the card under its original deck because he believes it to be too
expensive, because his Lady is not worthy of wearing such an article or
simply because he does not have the means to pay for it.
Pay the price of the card. The Lady places the card face-up in front of herself.
Pay £100 and give the card back to his Lady, face-down, because he is not
able to pay for the card straight away. On the next turn that card will be
passed back to him for payment once again. The Gentleman may again
choose to replace the card, pay for it outright or pay £100 once again.
Discount: if a team’s favourite boutique did not get any visitors
(including itsLady), the Gentleman may buy for his Lady the Wardrobe
or Servant card that is visible in the window at half price (rounded up).
Remember: Ladies and Gentlemen do not have the right to communicate to
each other about their secret possessions like money, or objectives on Servant
cards. Only alluding to these things is allowed.

his Lady’s wardrobe, Ben pays £100 because he does not currently have enough
to pay for it all. He gives it back to Melanie face-down. He decides not to pay for
the third and nal card

because he thinks it is too expensive. He places it
back in its pile.
End of the turn
Once the Gentlemen have nished paying (or not) for their Ladies’
purchases, a new day begins.
Nevertheless, before this begins, make sure:
For the Ladies:
Each Lady has taken back their Visit markers
Artisan cards in front of the boutiques are not discarded. The next
ones are placed on top.
Each Lady passes on the Artisan cards from her hand to her
neighbour on the right. At the end of the third game turn, the
Ladies will only have 1 Artisan card left in their hand. They then
pick up the three cards that have been placed in front of their
favourite boutique so that they have 4 Artisan cards again.
