For the Gentlemen:
That there are always 5 Resource tokens per Gentleman in the
stock. The Gentlemen must replace their Number tokens face-
down amongst the Resource tokens. All the tokens (Number and
Resource) are mixed up.
If there are no more Resource tokens to put into the Stock, mix in those
that were put to one side.
All honoured contracts that are still in the Stock exchange side are
removed and replaced.
If there are no more new contracts, use those that have been removed,
mixing them with the originals.
Add £100 to each contract that has not been fulfi lled. The fi rst
Gentleman to fulfi ll the contract receives this supplement as well as
the premium or bonus.
Note : a contract that has not been honoured for several turns receives £100
supplement each time. There is no limit to this accumulation.
The Ball: adding up the points
The Ball his held at the end of the sixth day, and represents the
end of the game. The winner is the most elegant Lady, and her
team is declared victorious.
First of all, ensure that each wardrobe conforms to each of
the rules:
A Lady must have a Wardrobe card that represents a dress. If not, she loses
her best Servant (the one that gives her the most Elegance points
A Lady must have a Wardrobe card that represents a dress. If not, she loses
).
A Lady may not have multiple copies of the same item in her Wardrobe:
two hats, three brooches, etc. She may only keep the item that gives her the
most Elegance points.
A Lady may only have a maximum of two designers out of three in her
Wardrobe. If not, she must discard all the Wardrobe cards that come from
the one designer too many that she has.
After this has been checked, each Lady adds up the number of Elegance points
from her Wardrobe cards.
After this, add the Elegance points that are on the Servant cards (as long as the
objective has been achieved) and the bonuses from certain Contract cards.
Example: here is Melanie’s wardrobe at the end of the game. First make sure
that she has a dress (which she has
1
), before adding up the points.
Also check that she has not gone over the limit of only having clothes from two
designers. Since Melanie has Wardrobe cards from three designers, she decides
to to take out the one from ‘JpG’, which is worth fewer Elegance points than the
others
2
.
Then check that Melanie does not have multiple copies of the same article. She
has two brooches so she takes away the brooch that is worth the fewest Elegance
points

.
Now add up the Elegance points from the different Wardrobe cards that make
up Melanie’s wardrobe. They make a total of 12 Elegance points .
Next add the Elegance points from Servant cards. Melanie only has one:
Bessie. Thanks to this card, Melanie gets a further 3 Elegance points because
her outfi t contains 4 Wardrobe cards from the designer ‘LL

.
Finally add the Elegance points from any Contract cards that are in front of her
Gentleman. Melanie gains another Elegance point
5
.
Melanie ends up with a
total of 16 Elegance points.
The team whose Lady is the most elegant at the Ball, that is, the Lady with the
most Elegance points (
The team whose Lady is the most elegant at the Ball, that is, the Lady with the
), wins the game. In the case of a tie, the richest of the
tied teams wins. If there is still a tie, the Lady with the prettiest smile leads her
team to victory.
