lares 4.0 PROGRAMMING MANUAL
32
In this page, you can create the zones that will be associated with various devices (central, auxi etc.).
Note: some parameters (e.g. pulse number, pulse length, balancing etc.) may not be available on some devices (e.g. on
unum wireless, it is not possible to set the balancing, the number of pulses, etc.).
For convenience, all available parameters will be shown.
To program the zones, click on the icon (
) and then on the symbol ( ). From this moment, it is possible to set the
parameters of the zone:
• Description: the name given to the zone (e.g. entrance door contact, living room volumetric sensor etc.)
• Hashtags: see the Hashtags section on (page 19) of the manual. You are able to associate multiple hashtags.
• Partitions: these are the areas associated with the zone. If the zone is associated with multiple partitions, it will
generate an alarm only when it is violated and all the partitions to which it belongs are inserted.
If you imagine, for example, a control panel that manages a semi-detached villa: a contact (e.g. zone 2) is installed on
a door that leads to the entrances of the respective apartments. The apartments are, in turn, associated with partitions
(e.g. apartment 1 and apartment 2). If both partitions are armed and the zone is breached, an alarm will be generated;
otherwise, no alarm will be generated.
• Camera: selects the camera that will send the email with the snapshot. The same snapshots will also be armed in the
event log under "Image".
• Trigger camera: select the event related to the zone that will send the snapshots. Three events are available, and
multiple choices can be made:
- Zone alarm event.
- Zone tamper event.
- Zone masking event.
Device association
In this section, the zones are associated to the terminals of the main board or to one of the boards (wired, wireless and
the respective terminals) previously programmed in the BUS sections or wireless device sections.
The available items are:
1. Select the device type.
This menu identifies the type of the device to which the zone will be associated.
• lares: all terminals of the lares 4.0.
• auxi/auxi 10in: all terminals on the expansion board.
• ergo-rev.0/ergo: "m1" and "m2" terminals of the ergo keypads. Not available for ergoS and ergoM.
• duo: "m1" and "m2" terminals of the duo repeaters. Not available if duo is programmed as a repeater "stand
alone".
• poli: the internal reed contact or one of the auxiliary inputs on the "m1" and "m2" terminals.
• nanus: internal reed contact.
• velum.
• nebula.
• auxi wls: i1 and i2 terminals of the wireless auxi.
2. Select the device.
In this menu, the single device belonging to the group of devices previously selected at point No. 1 is selected.
This option is not always available (e.g. if the zone is associated with lares board).
Example: A zone associated with an auxi expansion (e.g. auxi cantina) is being configured. After having programmed all
the devices (see page 20), select "auxi"/"auxi10", as described in point No. 1 of this section.
Then select the programmed device (auxi cantina) from the drop-down menu.
3. Select the terminal.
This menu allows to associate the zone to one of the device terminals.
Only the available inputs are shown.
If no terminal is shown, it means that it will no longer be possible to exploit the zones available for that device.
