OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
You can keep solid fat at room temperature in the closed deep fryer. When you reheat the fat in the deep
fryer, prick holes in the fat in advance with a fork to avoid the fat from splattering. Take care not to damage
the frying vat (10). Close the lid (1) and then warm the fat at low heat.
Danger of fire! Edible oil and fat can ignite at temperatures which are too high.
If the oil/fat ignites, pull the plug (12) immediately. Never pour water into hot or burning oil/fat. Close the lid
of the deep fryer if it is possible to do so safely. You can try to smother the fire with a blanket or fire-fighting
foam.
Timer
This device is equipped with a timer (13), with which you can set
the frying time (in minutes). The maximum frying time is 30 minutes.
If you do not want to set a definite frying time, turn the timer to
position On.
To select a frying time, turn the timer clockwise to the desired time.
The timer runs backwards until the set time has run out. A beep
sounds as soon as the timer reaches the Off position.
When the timer is on the Off position, the device has been switched
off. Pull the plug (12) from the power outlet to disconnect the device
completely from the mains.

Frying foods
Ensure that the oil/fat level is between the MIN and MAX marking.
You can monitor the frying process through the viewing window (3) in the lid (1). Apply some fat from the
inside on the viewing window in order to prevent that the window gets steamed up.
Insert the frying basket (4) and close the lid.
Connect the plug (12) to a suitable power outlet. The red operation indicator Power (15) lights up when the
timer (13) is set to position On. When the timer is in the Off position, the device is switched off (see Timer
section).
Select the required temperature using the temperature control (9) and wait until the deep fryer has been
preheated. More information regarding required temperature can be found on the packaging of the food to
be fried or in the Frying chart section.
The indicator light Temp (14) lights up and shows that the device has been heated up. Once the set
temperature is reached, the indicator light goes out.
As soon as the temperature falls below the pre-selected temperature, the thermostat switches on and the
indicator light Temp lights up again. This ensures a constant temperature. The indicator light Temp switches
on and off repeatedly during operation.
