OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Intended use
This device is suitable for frying foods only. Any other use can lead to damage to the device or to injury.
Unpacking and checking
Carefully take the device and its accessories out of the packaging. Retain the packaging in case you would
like to store the device away or transport it at a later date. If you choose to dispose of the packaging, then
please do so according to the applicable legal regulations.
Check the packaging contents for completeness and damages. Should the contents in the packaging not be
complete or be damaged, do not use the device. Return it to your retail outlet immediately.
Preparation
Before first use, clean all parts which come into contact with foods. Refer to the CLEANING AND CARE
section.
All parts of the deep fryer must be carefully dried off after cleaning.
Assemble the device correctly before putting it into operation.
Place the device on a flat, sturdy and heat-resistant surface. A circumference of at least a 15 cm distance
around the device should be maintained. Keep flammable materials away from this device (e.g. curtains,
textiles, walls). Keep the device out of the reach of spraying water.
Filling frying vat
Press on the lid release button (11) to open the lid (1).
Remove the frying basket (4) by pulling it upwards.
Fill at least 1.8 litres (MIN) and maximum 2.5 litres (MAX) of good
quality oil into the frying vat (10). The oil level must be between the
MIN and MAX marking (inside the frying vat).
Attention! Never switch the device on if there is too little or no oil in
the frying vat. It could become damaged.

Frying with oil and fat
Use only high-temperature resistant, neutral flavour frying oil (vegetable oil) or frying fat (vegetable fat) which
can be heated to about 220°C. Palm oil, hydrogenated vegetable oils and fats, refined oils (corn oil, soya oil,
and sunflower oil) for example are all suitable. Cold-pressed and unrefined oils/fats such as virgin olive oil,
butter and margarine are not suitable.
Attention! Never mix different oil or fat types together and never mix fresh oil or fat with oil or fat which has
already been used.
If you use frying fat, cut it into pieces and melt it in a pot at low heat. Then fill the melted fat carefully into
the frying vat (10). The frying vat must be dry when it is being filled with the melted fat.
