Game 2: Turtle Memory
Who will be especially skillful at rolling their turtle, having a good
memory and thus collecting the most animal cards?
Game Material Needed:
One turtle per player, game board, the 9 animal cards.
Preparation of the Game
Spread the game board with the glade stadium face up on the table.
Each player takes their turtle and puts the corresponding shell on it.
Cover the animal cards, shuffle them and distribute them in a row on the
table.
How to Play
Play in a clockwise direction. The smallest player starts and puts their
turtle on any starting square.
Make your turtle roll. Have a look at the animal on the spectators’ square
where it stopped. If the turtle’s round feet touch two squares, have a
look at the animals of both squares.
Then try to uncover the corresponding animal card.
Does your turtle touch the square of the animal uncovered?
•Yes? Well done! As a reward you get this animal card.
• No. Bad luck. Cover the animal card again.
Then place your turtle in front of you. It’s the turn of the next player.
Hint: At the beginning of the game you don’t know where which
animal is hidden. During the game however you get more and
more information.
End of the Game
The game ends as soon as all animal cards have been distributed. The
player with the most cards wins this memory competition.
