Wash with hot water while the cast-
iron grate or pan is still hot
Use of soap or dishwasher

Use coarse sea salt to remove stubborn
residue without damaging the seasoning
Use kitchen paper or a brush to
rub the surface with salt
You can also boil water in the pan to
dissolve super stubborn deposits
For the grill, soaking in boiling water
can be combined with brushing
QUICK DRYING
Dry the pan or grid thoroughly
immediately after cleaning
Then use kitchen paper to apply vegetable
oil to the inside of the pan and the grid
Then store your cast iron utensils
on a dry and cool plate

For cast-iron cookware, the shiny
seasoning is the polymerisation
of fat on the inside of the pan or
on the cooking grid. It acts as a
kind of non-stick coating and also
prevents rusting. If you maintain the
seasonal layer well, cast iron will
