6. Start the steaming process by turning the steam power control approx. a quarter turn.

The device starts to emit steam, and any existing condensation is drained away.

7. As soon as steam emerges continuously from the steam nozzle, direct the steam

nozzle into the frothing container and immerse it in the milk.

8. Turn the steam power control further to the left to remove more steam.

9. First hold the steam nozzle just below the surface of the milk to warm it up. Once the

milk is warm to the touch, hold the steam nozzle at the bottom of the frothing con-

tainer so that the milk is swirled around.

10. Once the milk froth is of the desired consistency, turn the steam power control all the

way to the right and pull the frothing container down and outwards.

After switching off the production of steam, the device drains off excess water.

Therefore direct the steam nozzle back towards the drip tray or into an empty

vessel.

11. Tap the frothing container one to two times on a solid surface to compress the milk

froth.

12. Pour the milk froth into the drinking vessel or scoop it with a spoon.

13. If no more steam is required, press the

steam button. The water in the device

cools back down to around 90 – 100°C.

PLEASE NOTE: Before preparing espresso again, make sure that the water is once

again at the correct temperature and the steam control lamp is no longer lit up, as

otherwise the espresso powder will burn during the brewing process and too many

bitter compounds will be released.

14. After use, press the On / Off switch to switch off the device. The operating lamp

goes out.

If the device is not switched off manually, it automatically switches off after 30

minutes in stand-by mode.

Care and Storage

PLEASE NOTE!

■ Allow the device and accessories to cool down before they are cleaned.

■ Do not use any toxic, corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents or scouring sponges to

clean the device. These can damage the surface.

1. Take the portaﬁ lter (8) out of the device and empty it (see the “Handling and Opera-

tion” chapter – “Removing the Portaﬁ lter from the Device” and “Emptying the Porta-

ﬁ lter”).

2. Remove the sieve insert (14) (see the “Handling and Operation” chapter – “Inserting

/ Removing the Sieve Insert”).

3. Empty the drip tray (6) after each use (see the “Handling and Operation” chap-

ter – “Inserting / Removing the Drip Tray”).

4. Clean all used accessories with mild detergent and warm water.

5. Wipe down the housing with a damp cloth. If necessary, use a little mild detergent to

remove more intense soiling.

6. Check the mains connecting cable regularly for any damage.
