If the angle does not measure 90° adjust as follows:
Loosen the adjusting screw (36) and move the head so the saw band reaches a 90° angle.
Loosen the locknut (37) on the adjusting screw and screw the adjusting screw in or out to
achieve a 90° angle. Retighten the locknut.
Tighten the adjusting screw.
Loosen the screw (38) and adjust the pointer (39) so that it registers 0°. Tighten the screw.
Setting the mitre angle
Fig. M
The mitre angle is infinitely variable between 0° and 45°.
Slacken the lock knob (8) a few threads.
Set the required mitre angle using the scale (40).
Securely tighten the lock knob.
Clamping the workpiece
Fig. N
Turn the clamp (9) a little further than the thickness of the workpiece using the wheel (41).
Place the workpiece against the fence (35).
Tighten the vice using the wheel so the workpiece is clamped tightly between the vice and
the fence.
Always use the vice!
Instructions for use
Switch on the machine before the workpiece makes contact with the saw band.
Depress the head with equal force to allow the saw band to cut through the workpiece and
enter the table slot
Do not exert pressure on the saw band. Allow the machine enough time to cut the
workpiece.
Best results are achieved with workpieces up to approx. 2.5 cm.
Be careful when the workpiece is thicker than 2.5 cm.
To maintain optimum efficiency, replace a worn saw band in time.
Only raise the saw band housing after the saw band has come to a complete standstill.
Switching on and off
Fig. A
This machine is equipped with a no-volt release feature.
This feature avoids that the machine is accidentally switched on when the plug is inserted into
the mains outlet.
To switch the machine on, set the on/off switch (1) to ‘I’.
To switch the machine off, set the on/off switch (1) to ‘0’.
