Ensure that the trailer tow bar is undamaged, clean and free of grease. Remove any paint from the coupling ball.
Before you put the bicycle rack on the trailer tow bar, familiarise yourself with the quick locking system.
The quick locking mechanism is a component with a tension lever (19). Activating the lever opens or closes the quick locking mechanism. With the help of the
securing bolt (20) and the padlock (24), the quick locking system may be locked and secured.
Park your vehicle on a level surface. Apply the handbrake.
Remove the securing bolt from the quick locking mechanism and rotate by 90° to prevent it from engaging again. Open the quick locking mechanism by
lifting the tension lever. Place the rack, from above, horizontally onto the trailer tow bar. Push the lever of the quick locking mechanism down (force required is
approximately 35 - 40 kg) as far as it will go (the lever will remain in the horizontal position).
Check whether the bicycle rack is securely and rmly positioned on the trailer tow bar and can no longer be rotated. If this is not the case, the quick locking
mechanism must be readjusted. Lift the lever and remove the rack from the trailer tow bar. Remove the protective cap (21) of the adjusting screw (23). Undo
the counter nut (22) of the adjusting screw and rotate the adjusting screw on the quick locking mechanism tighter by a quarter turn. Then tighten the counter
nut again.
Replace the rack back on the trailer tow bar and check whether the rack is securely and rmly positioned on the tow bar. Repeat the adjustment process until
the rack is secure and rm. Push the protective cap back onto the adjustment screw.
When the rack can no longer be rotated on the trailer tow bar, rotate the securing bolt of the quick locking mechanism until it engages. Now close the quick
locking mechanism with the supplied padlock and remove the key from the lock. Store the key carefully and in a safe place. The bicycle rack is now secured to
prevent theft.
Regularly check the rm seating of the rack on the trailer tow bar as well as the attachment of the bicycles to the rack. Also regularly check the functions of the
lighting system of your bicycle rack.
5.2 MOUNTING THE BICYCLE RACK ON THE TRAILER TOW BAR
The padlock is always required when using the bicycle rack. The bicycle rack may only be used if the padlock is employed
correctly and locked. The lock is safety-relevant.
Caution: Always make sure that the counter nut on the adjusting screw is correctly tightened!

Slight signs of pressure on the tow bar ball are normal and do not inuence the functionality.
The rst bicycle is placed in the rst wheel rail (closest to the vehicle) and secured to the U-shaped bracket with the short frame holder. To do this, rotate the
knob nut of the frame holder anti-clockwise until the clip is opened suciently to accommodate your bicycle frame. Place the clips around the bicycle frame
and then turn the knob nut in a clockwise direction but do not close completely. The wheels are secured by placing the tensioning straps around the wheel rim
of your bicycle and tightening the straps. Caution: The front wheel must be secured with two small tensioning straps to prevent it from turning (Figure 17).
The second bicycle is used placed in the second wheel rail, facing the opposite direction and secured to the U-shaped bracket with the long frame holder. The
wheels are secured in the same way as for the rst bicycle. It may be necessary to oset the individual bicycles dierently on the rack to ensure that the frame
holders may be correctly secured. Now secure the bicycles with the long safety strap. Wrap the safety strap through the bicycle frames and the U-shaped bar
and tighten. (See Figure 18)
Now tighten the knob nuts of the frame holders rmly. Only when the knob nuts have been tightened rmly will it be possible to lock them. Lock the knob nuts
by rotating the key anti-clockwise by 180°. Remove the key
5.3 MOUNTING THE BICYCLES TO THE REAR RACK
The frame holder may result in minor pressure points on the bicycle frame and damaged to the paintwork.
