Daily/total altitude meters descent
Sub-function of the current altitude function.
In the upper display it indicates the sum of the descent altitude covered during this tour so far and in the
lower display the sum of all descent altitudes covered since the beginning of the first tour.
Range: 0 – 300000 m or 999999 ft
Note: For technical reasons the altitudes are only summated when there is a minimum of 2 ascent or
descent altitudes which are exceeded continuously.
Maximum altitude
Sub-function of the current altitude function.
Indicates the highest reached (or set) altitude during the present tour in the upper display and the sum
of all highest reached (or set) altitudes since the beginning of the first tour in the lower display.
Range: -100m –9000m or –330 – 29000 ft
Time
Indicates the current time.
Range: 00:00 – 23:59 or 00:00 – 12:59 (AM/PM, colon flashes at AM time)
Date
Sub-function of the time function.
Indicates the current year in the upper display, the weekday in the medium display and the date in the
lower display (leap years are considered) in the format TT/MM (12-hour display in the format MM/TT).
Time zone 2
Sub-function of the time function.
Indicates the time of the time zone 2.
Stopwatch
The stopwatch can be started, stopped and paused by pressing the UM-button shortly.
Start / Stop
The stopwatch is reset to zero by pressing the UM-button for 3 seconds (all split and lap times are
deleted, too).
Range: 0 999:59 (the indication M:SS:1/100 appears up to 10 minutes while the second colon is
flashing, up to 10 hours: S:MM:SS, more than 10 hours: SSS:MM)
Split time/lap time
Press UL-button shortly.
Sub-function of the running stopwatch:
Stops the current split time and lap time. For 3 seconds the lap time is indicated in the upper display
and the split time is indicated in the lower display. Up to 100 split and lap times can be stopped and
saved.
The split time is the time since the start of the stopwatch, the lap time is the time since the last stop of
the split time or since the last lap time.
Range: 0 999:59 (the indication M:SS:1/100 appears up to 10 minutes while the second colon is
flashing, up to 10 hours: S:MM:SS, more than 10 hours: SSS:MM)
Sub-function of stopped stopwatch:
Press UL-button shortly.
Indicates the saved split and lap times with the corresponding counter and the average heart rate of the
lap (and how much of the personal maximum heart rate this is in percentage).
Therefore the split/lap time is indicated firstly, after 3 seconds the indication switches automatically and
displays the average heart rate of the lap and how much of the personal maximum heart rate this is in
percentage for 3 seconds.
Pushing the UL-button shortly again indicates the next split/lap time.
Up to 100 lap times can be saved and indicated.

Countdown
The countdown (or the heart rate or cadence time manager, if switched on) can be started by pressing
the UM-button shortly.
Start of the countdown
After the start, the HAC5 counts the indicated time of the countdown backwards until zero is reached
and an alarm signal can be heart. Then the countdown stays at zero.
When using the heart rate interval or the cadence interval (with or without the time manager), the count-
down 2 is automatically counted backwards after the alarm signal. When this is set on zero, another
alarm signal can be heart and the countdown 3 starts. At the end of this countdown the countdown
