Valves (on the keg)
Keg valves can vary depending on manufacturer, model and date of pro-
duction. Generally speaking, almost all keg valves are compatible with the
Beer Buddy dispenser. However, there is one exception. To demonstrate the
differences, and to enable you to quickly determine which kegs are suitable,
there is a list below of the valves currently on the market.
Overview of all types
The exception
There is one exception. One manufacturer of
valves for 5-litre party kegs has 2 variants on
the market, which at rst glance look very si-
milar, but are in fact fundamentally different.
To the right is an illustration of both variants.
The upper variant has 3 breaking points and
can be used with the Beer Buddy.
The lower variant has only 2 and is not sui-
table. This is not due to the breaking points,
but to the construction of the valves.
The lower valve has no separate small stop-
per beneath the upper closure, so cannot be
tapped by the dispenser.
