uDo not touch the tines before the

machine is disconnected from the

supply and the tines have come to a

complete stop.

uKeep supply cables and extension

cables away from the tines. The

tines can cause damage to the cables

and lead to contact with live parts.

Beware electric shock hazard when

inspecting for potential contact

between water and electricity.

Remove the plug from the socket:

– Whenever you leave the machine.

– Before clearing a blockage.

– Before checking, cleaning or work-

ing on the machine.

– After striking a foreign object. In-

spect the machine for damage and

change the blade as necessary.

– If the machine starts to vibrate ab-

normally (check immediately).

Connecting to the mains

uThe voltage of the power source

must correspond with the data on

the type plate of the product.

uOnly use this product when connec-

ted into a socket which is protected

by a circuit-breaker that would be ac-

tuated by a 30 mA residual current.

uOnly use or replace power supply

cables for this unit which correspond

to the types indicated by the manu-

facturer. See the operating instruc-

tions for the order no. and types.

uNever touch the mains plug with wet

hands.

uDo not run over, crush or pull the

power supply cord or extension

cord, otherwise it may be damaged.

Protect the cable from heat, oil and

sharp edges.

uThe extension lead must have a cross

section in accordance with the oper-

ating instructions and be protected

against splashed water. The connec-

tion must not be in water.

uAlways wear gardening gloves

when handling or working near the

sharp blade/tines.

Electrical Safety

Warning! Switch the

product off and pull the

mains plug before any main-

tenance or cleaning. The same ap-

plies when the mains cable is dam-

aged, cut or entangled.

uThe blade/tines continues to ro-

tate for a few seconds after the

machine is switched off.

uCaution do not touch the rotating

blade/tines.

Your product is double insulated for

safety and requires no earth connec-

tion. The operating voltage is 230V

AC, 50Hz (for non-EU countries

220V, 240V as applicable). Contact

your Bosch Service Centre for details.

If in doubt contact a qualified electri-

cian or the nearest Bosch Service

Centre.
