and pets may be injured while the ma-

chine is in operation. Thoroughly

check the working area and remove

any stones, sticks, wires, bones and

foreign objects. When using the ma-

chine, ensure that no wildlife, pets or

small tree stumps are hidden in the

dense grass.

Operation

uNever allow children or people unfa-

miliar with these instructions to use

the product. Local regulations may

restrict the age of the operator.

When not in use store the product

out of reach of children.

uNever allow children, persons with

physical, sensory or mental limita-

tions or a lack of experience and/or

knowledge and/or people unfamiliar

with these instructions to use the

product. Local regulations may re-

strict the age of the operator.

uNever operate the product when you

are tired, ill or under the influence of

alcohol, drugs or medicine.

uNever work while people, especially

children, or pets are nearby.

uChildren should be supervised to en-

sure that they do not play with the

product.

uThe user is responsible for accidents

or hazards occurring to other people

or their property.

uAlways wear hearing protection and

safety glasses when working with the

product.

uDo not wear open rubber shoes or

sandals when using the product. Al-

ways wear sturdy shoes and long

trousers. Do not use barefoot.

uThoroughly inspect the area where

the product is to be used and remove

all stones, sticks, wires, bones and

other foreign objects.

uBefore using, always visually inspect

to see that the tines and tine as-

sembly are not worn, damaged or

loose.

uReplace worn or damaged tine and

assemblies in sets to preserve bal-

ance. On multi-tined machines, take

care as rotating one tine can cause

other tines to rotate.

uWalk, never run.

uRake/Verticut only in daylight or in

good artificial light.

uIf possible, avoid using the product

on wet grass or take additional pre-

cautions to avoid slipping.

uDo not rake/verticut excessively

steep slopes.
