8. Before the rst use
Remove the machine and all accessories
from the package. Keep the packaging
materials out of the reach of small children.
There is a danger of suffocation!

Electric circular saw suitable for cross, rip
and bevel cutting of hard and softwood
timber and sheet material
11. Assembly and adjusting
instructions
Before adjusting the saw, make
sure the plug is removed from the
socket.
11.1 Setting the sawing angle (bevel)
Loosen both knobs (6, 15).
Rotate the soleplate to the correct posi-
tion (0° - 45°), and tighten the knobs.
The sawing angle (bevel) can be read
on the scale for mitre angle (5).
11.2 Fitting the ripfence
Loosen knob (7).
Insert the rip fence into the slots
provided.
Set the correct cut width and tighten
the knob (7).
11.3 Setting the cutting depth
Loosen knob (18).
Move the soleplate (17) downwards.
The cut depth of the saw blade can be
read off on the side of the safety guard.
Tighten the clamping knob (18) once
the correct depth is set.
11.4 Exchanging or cleaning the saw blade
Before any maintenance work always switch
off the plunge saw and disconnect from
mains power.
Press and hold the spindle lock (19)
down.
Use the hex key (21) to turn the screw
(11) at the saw blade slightly clockwise
or counter-clockwise until the spindle
clicks into place.
Use the hex key to loosen the screw
counter-clockwise.
Turn the safety guard to the rear, and
hold it there with the aid of the knob
(12). Withdraw the retaining ring and
the saw blade, and clean the saw blade,
or replace it with a new one.
Again place the saw blade back on the
shaft. Allow the safety guard to return
over the saw blade by releasing the
knob (12).
Note: The rotation direction arrows of
saw blade and saw must be aligned!
Replace the outer flange in such way
that the slaving pins sit in the recesses
of the inner flange.
Press and hold the spindle lock and
tighten the screw.
12. Operation
Use of hearing protection is
recommended while operating the
circular saw.
12.1 Switching On/Off
Press knob (14) with your right-hand
thumb and keep it depressed.
Press knob (13) to start the saw.
Release knob (13) to stop the saw.
12.2 Operation
Hold the work using clamps or a vice to
have both hands free to operate the saw.
Switch on the saw and place the bot-
tom plate on the work.
Firmly press the bottom plate on the
work, otherwise the circular saw may
start to vibrate, causing the blade to
break more easily.
Let the saw do the job. Do not put
undue pressure on the circular saw.
