Checking when the engine is running
1. Start the engine.
ð The device must be stopped.
2. Pull the accelerator lever all the way up.
ð The engine is idling.
3. Repeat the test procedures for steering, drive lever and
cutting height.
ð Function is as described in the respective point.
ð The device must drive forward when you press the
right joystick forward.
ð The device must drive backwards when you press the
right joystick backwards.
ð The device must stop without delay when you press
the right joystick backwards.
Checking the safety functions
Magnetic contact switch on the transmitter holder
1. Select the operating mode MC.
2. Sit down on the driver’s seat.
3. Switch on the transmitter and the receiver.
4. Start the engine.
5. Turn the accelerator lever to neutral position.
6. Remove the transmitter from the transmitter holder.
7. Turn the accelerator lever forward to slow speed.
ð The engine must stop.
Seat contact switch
1. Select the operating mode MC.
2. Insert the transmitter into the transmitter holder.
3. Sit down on the driver’s seat.
4. Switch on the transmitter and the receiver.
5. Start the engine.
6. Turn the accelerator lever forward to slow speed.
7. Carefully relieve the driver’s seat.
ð The engine must stop.
Magnetic contact switch on the transmitter holder
and seat contact switch
1. Select the operating mode MC.
2. Insert the transmitter into the transmitter holder.
3. Sit down on the driver’s seat.
4. Switch on the transmitter and the receiver.
5. Start the engine.
6. Turn the accelerator lever forward to slow speed.
ð The motor must not be stopped.
Checking the Emergency stop switch
1. Select the operating mode MC.
2. Sit down on the driver’s seat.
3. Switch on the transmitter and the receiver.
4. Start the engine.
5. Move on a terrain where the blade can rotate freely and
does not touch objects or the ground.
6. Make sure that nobody is in the danger area of the device.
7. Engage the blade.
8. Press the Emergency stop switch on the device.
ð The blade must come to a standstill from full speed in
less than 5 seconds.
ð The engine must stop.
ð The status indicators on the device must be perman-
ently lit.
Checking the start-stop switch with key
1. Select the operating mode RC.
2. Switch on the transmitter and the receiver.
3. Start the engine.
4. Drive on large, open and level terrain.
5. Make sure that nobody is in the danger area of the device.
6. Drive slowly forward.
7. Press the start-stop switch.
ð The accelerator lever must go to neutral position/parking
brake.
ð The engine must stop.
ð The status indicators on the device must be permanently
lit.
Checking the key function
1. Press the start-stop switch.
2. Remove the key from the start-stop switch without turning
it.
3. Try to switch on the transmitter.
ð Without key the transmitter it must be impossible to turn
on the transmitter.
Checking the transport position of the
blade
1. Select the operating mode MC.
2. Sit down on the driver’s seat.
3. Switch on the transmitter and the receiver.
4. Start the engine.
5. Move on a terrain where the blade can rotate freely and
does not touch objects or the ground.
6. Make sure that nobody is in the danger area of the device.
7. Move blade to transport position.
ð Now the blade should not engage.
