CHECKING THE INSTALLATION
Checklist
1. Is the beam unobstructed between the transmitter and receiver?
2. Are the individual parabolic mirrors optimally aligned?
3. Have the screws of the mirror holders been sufficiently tightened?
4. Have all the cable clamps been sufficiently tightened?
5. Are heating elements installed for outdoor use?
6. Has the operating voltage of the transmitter and receiver been checked?
7. Has the operating voltage of the devices and pillar heaters (12, 24, or 48 V) been checked?
Operational test
1. Check the alignment by using the enclosed cardboard cut-outs ("Shadow paper“): when the whole of the cut-
out is positioned in the middle of the mirror, the receiving signal should still be maximum. If not, readjust the
beam.
2. Cover the upper mirror (Fig. 1.1) of the receiver ? no alarm should be activated.
3. Cover the lower mirror (Fig. 1.2) of the receiver ? no alarm should be activated.
4. Cover the upper and lower mirrors ? an alarm should be activated, the alarm LED on the receiver lights up.

The Active Infrared Barrier, type Double Beam, whether as a stand alone or as a pillar-mounted integrated
