Armed/disarmed
In the armed position, the system is "ready for operation“. This means that all indicators are switched to dark
and a break in the IR beam causes an alarm output, setting the first alarm memory. When disarmed, the first
alarm memory is blocked.
Sabotage
A sabotage alarm output is linked through a potential-free switch contact. This is only available for single units
(in case of pillar-mounted devices, it is linked to the cover contact which is installed inside the pillars).
To assemble:
1. Before installing the pillars, prepare the base covers and pillars.
2. Provide base covers for the concrete foundation.
3. Wall-mounted devices need to be fastened by drilling.
4. For outdoor use, install heating elements into the pillars.
5. Install the devices at the correct height.
6. Wire the transmitter and receiver.
7. Align the transmitter and receiver optimally.
8. Adjust the system parameters.
9. Check that the system is functioning correctly.
Each pair of devices must be arranged so that the beam runs between transmitter and receiver without being
interrupted by growing bushes, shrubs, or other objects (whose height should be kept below a certain level).
Installing the single units
To open the device, carefully release the housing cover locking.
Two plastic holders on the top and bottom of the base are used
to fix the devices. The cable entry hole is located on the left side
of the base. When finished installing and wiring, carefully replace
the cover and secure it by means of the blocking clamps.
The devices must be mounted vertically on a solid surface using the plastic footpads to provide sufficient
ventilation and isolation. For wall-mounted devices, use the base as a template for marking the screw hole
locations. The mounting surface must be free from vibration.
Mounting the pillars
Preparing the concrete foundation
To prevent the ground plates (Fig. 3.A, page 2) from moving due to weather conditions, they must be firmly fixed
on a flat concrete foundation. The position of the cable on the ground plate must be taken into account.
The minimum size of the concrete foundation (Fig. 3.C) depends on the pillars‘ height. For pillars up to 2 m
high, the foundation area must be at least 60 x 60 cm. When they exceed 2 m, the foundation area should be
80 x 80 cm.
Fix the ground plate on the concrete foundation either by using four heavy-duty bolts (for pillar height up to
2 m, length 140 mm, M16) or two concrete anchors (Fig. 3.B) (for pillar height over 2 m, depth at least 350
mm, diameter 16 mm).
