pusher and pusher bearing. Clear extrusion chamber and die of dough and reassemble.
Plug into outlet. Correct dough consistency per instructions in OPERATION section.
3. Stop the machine after the first 1-2 inches of dough have been extruded, cut it off and
discard. Extrude again until you achieve desired length.
4. To change a die in the middle of the extrude cycle:
a. Stop the machine.
b. Place machine in mix cycle for 5 seconds.
c. Stop machine, remove the next die from the hot water and change the die.
5. If pasta flow slows during extrusion, mixing gate may be clogged. To clear, turn the
Extrude/Mix Control to mix position, then immediately return to extrude position.
OPERATING TIPS
1. To make good pasta in this machine, the most important point is to create the proper
dough consistency.
2. To create proper consistency, add the liquid gradually during mixing. Dough will not
mix properly if too much liquid is added or if it is all added at one time.
3. If your machine does not start, check to be sure the cover is properly latched, check
the switch position, and make sure is plugged in.
4. The cover should not be used as an ON/OFF switch, but operates as a safety
precaution.
5. If machine turn off while mixing pasta, don’t be alarmed. This is a feature of the Pasta
Maker. This feature protects machine from damage due to a too-heavy dough
consistency. Simply unplug from outlet. Clean out mixing bowl and extruding chamber.
Start over.
CONSISTENCY TIPS
1. Only add ingredients when Extrude/Mix Control is in Mix position.
2. Pasta dough needs only to be slightly moist for finer sized pasta.
3. At times, you may have to add a little more liquid or flour than the recipe calls for.
4. If dough sticks in the mixer, refer to instructions for correcting wet mixture under
“OPERATION”.
CLEANING TIPS
1. Dry dies overnight for easier cleaning. They can then be tapped on the counter to
remove particles. Clean clogged holes with cleaning tool or toothpick. For easiest
cleaning results, place die in freezer until frozen, tap on counter and clean.
2. Remove all remaining pasta dough from mixing bowl and extruding chamber when
cleaning. Even a small piece of dried dough can damage the machine during future use.
ASSEMBLY TIPS
1. For best results, place the die in hot water mixed with 1 teaspoon of oil before use
helps the dough to flow through quickly and form properly.
2. USE NOW STICK SPRAY or apply OLIVE OIL onto the die after you remove it from the
hot water.
3. For best results, mount die cut-outs in horizontal position for egg noodles, fettuccini,
and pretzels/breadsticks as shown:
