2. The steam generator
a) Steam generator use
Steam which is blown into the inside of the oven is generated in a special
water container (which is an integral part of the oven). This is a unique so-
lution on the Polish market, as steam is generated inside the oven. Other
ovens (which are advertised as having the function of steam cooking) only
have a closed container attached in which steam is generated.
Some advantages:
It’s easy to prepare food (e.g. steamed potatoes, frozen vegetables,
etc.)
The food is not soaked with fat as when fried (over 60 of fat from the
pan is absorbed during frying!)
Minerals and vitamins are not rinsed by water (even 75% of vitamin C
gets wiped out!) and do not get over to the stock as in case of cooking.
Food does not get burned, does not stick to the dish, does not lose
the color and smell and it retains an appetizing consistency, because it
does not dry out and is not soaked with water.
b) Water container installation
Warning: We advise you to wash the water container (3) and its lid (1)
before initial steam cooking to be sure they are clean. Steam genera-
tor parts (see illustration):
Water container lid (1).
Water container (3).
Minimal water level sensor (2).
Water level indicator (5).
Open buttons (4).
Water container housing (6).
Attention: Do not immense the water container (3) in water or any oth-
er liquid. Do not wash the water container (3) under running water. If
the sealing surfaces and/or generator housing (the lower part of the
container) get wet, leave to dry thoroughly before using.
Pour only “normal” tap water to the container (3).
The water level in the container (3) should be in the MIN-MAX range.
Make sure the oat is properly functioning before you properly install
the water container lid (1).
Make sure there is enough water in the water container (3) and that it
is properly installed before using the steam function. To not open the
water container lid (1) when the appliance is operating in the steam
cooking mode. Do not open the water container after operation to
avoid burns or other hazards.
After you hear a beep indicating the end of operation, wait a while
before you pour water into the appliance. Carefully lift the water con-
tainer lid (1) and pour water using a cup. Do not pour water or hold
the lid (1) during cooking or directly afterwards.
The water in the container should not be used longer than 24 hours.
If the microwave oven is stored in temperature below 0°C pour water
out of the container.
The oat should be regularly cleaned. Do not take out or turn the oat
during cleaning. Wait for the water container (3) to cool before cleaning.
Do not touch surfaces that heat quickly in order to avoid burns.
If there is water in the water container (3) pay attention not to spill it
while moving the appliance.
To take out the water container lid (1) press the two open buttons (4) on
the top towards each other and lift the lid. Next take out the water con-
tainer (3) by pulling the protrusion on the side upwards.
After cleaning the container (3) and the lid (1) insert the container back
to the housing (6). To install the water container lid place the lid (1) in
the container (3) and press. Make sure the fastening hooks (A) properly
click into place on both sides of the water container, because otherwise
the steam cooking function cannot be started and the steam will escape
through the outlet opening of the container.
c) Water trough (3) installation
Before you use the steam cook-
ing function make sure the
water trough (2) is properly
installed in the microwave oven.
Empty the water trough (2) if
it is lled with water. Use a dry
cloth or take out the trough. To
take out the water trough:
Open the oven door (1) as
widely as possible.
Press two buttons (C) and
slowly take out the trough.
After taking out and empty-
ing the water trough (2) in-
stall it once again.
Water trough installation:
Open the oven door (1) as
widely as possible.
Direct the clasps (B) on the trough (2) to the square openings (A) on
the bottom of the oven and put the trough into place.
3. Steam cooking
Open the water container (1) lid and
using a cup pour a sufcient amount of
water into the container. Next, close the
lid (the lid must be closed otherwise the
steam cooking function will not start).
Attention: The amount of water cannot ex-
ceed the MAX level and cannot be lower
than the MIN level on the water level indi-
cator (2).
If the water level is too low you cannot start
the steam cooking or you will have to add
water shortly. On the other hand if the water
level is too high the water can spill over to
the inside of the oven.
Plug the oven, open the door and place the food to be cooked in the
middle of the bottom plate inside the oven and close the door.
