Fixing the grab handle
1 Caution!
When collapsing and unfolding the grab handle, the cable
could be damaged.
z Take care that you do not kink the electrical cable and
the Bowden cable.
z Fold the grab handle down in accordance with the illust-
ration and tighten it in place with the wing nuts.
Operation
Operating times
z Please observe the regional regulations.
z Request the operating times from your local authorities.
Topping up the oil
z Please check the oil level before scarifying.
z Before using for the first time, you must add 0.6 l. VO-4T four-
stroke oil up to the mark.
Filling with fuel
1 Caution! Rotating blades
Settings only to be carried out on the machine with the mo-
tor switched off and with the working tools at a standstill.
z Switch the motor off and pull off the sparking plug lead.
z Use only normal lead-free petrol (not Super unleaded).
z Avoid spilling petrol.
z Do not inhale the vapour.
Setting the working depth
1 Caution!Rotating blades
Settings only to be carried out on the machine with the mo-
tor switched off and with the working tools at a standstill.
z switch the motor off and pull off the sparking plug lead.
3 Recommendations on working depth:
prepared areas with stone-free, soft ground conditions
z Match the working depth exactly to ground level
(factory setting)
stony, unkempt areas
z Set the working tools to ground level
z If stones are thrown up, set a reduced working depth
rough ground, very mossy ground
z start with a small working depth
z do not overload the machine (if the motor stalls use a
smaller working depth)
z scarify several times at right angles
z re-seed with WOLF Lawn Seed (e.g. "Loretta")
1. Put the setting lever back into the transport position
(1)
2. Increasing the working depth (cutters towards the
ground)

Turn the handwheel "Working Depth Adjustment" to the left.
Reducing the working depth
(2)
Turn the handwheel "Working Depth Adjustment" to the right
(One turn = 1.5 mm working depth)
3. Scarifying test:
Start the machine.
Push the adjusting lever to the working position (2).
Push the machine slowly in the working direction.
If there is a noise of stones being thrown up or if the cutters
become blocked
z Switch the machine off immediately.
z Turn the handwheel "Working Depth Adjustment" to the
right by 2-3 turns
(2).
z Carry out the scarifying test again.
Starting/Stopping
1 Caution! Rotating blades
Working / settings only to be carried out on the machine with
the engine switched off and with the working tools at a
standstill.
z Only start the engine when your feet are at a safe dis-
tance from the working tools.
z Start the engine on flat ground, if possible not in long
grass.
1 Caution! Danger of burning
Do not touch the silencer if the engine is hot!
z Take special care not to touch the silencer during trans-
porting .
Cold start
1. Pull the adjusting lever to the transport position backwards
(1).
2. Pull the "Choke" back
(1).
3. Lift the safety lever and hold in position .
4. Pull the starter handle and let it return slowly .
5. Push the choke back as soon as the engine has warmed up
(2).
6. Push the adjusting lever to the working position
(2).
Hot start
1. Pull the adjusting lever to the transport position backwards
(1).
2. Lift the safety lever and hold in position .
3. Pull the starter handle and let it return slowly .
4. Push the adjusting lever to the working position (2).
Stopping the engine
1. Release the safety lever.
2. Push the adjusting lever to the transport position
(1).
