Coffee preparation
Open the water tank (4) by swinging open the water tank lid (1). Pour the desired amount of cold
water into the water tank (4).
Caution: When using the thermal beaker (9), ensure that you fill the water tank (4) only to the “MAX
mark, otherwise the coffee might overflow and cause scalding.
The water-level indicator (5) applies to the amount of cold water needed to brew the desired number
of cups of coffee (@ 125ml). Close the water tank lid (1). Open the filter (3) by flipping the filter lid
(2) upwards.
Take a size 2 paper filter, fold over the stamped edge and place it into the filter (3). The paper filter
should not protrude over the edge of the filter. If necessary, push it down slightly with your hand.
Add the required amount of ground coffee.
Note: Depending on your personal taste, use approx. 5-7g of medium-fine ground coffee per cup. If
the coffee is ground too finely, the filter (3) may overflow.
Close the filter lid (2). Stand the thermal jug (8) or thermal mug (9) on the device.
Now insert the mains plug into the socket.
Immediate start
If the coffee is to be prepared immediately, press the on/off button (7), the preparation starts. You can
stop the brewing process at any time by pressing the stop button (7).
Caution: Danger of scalding through remaining coffee in the filter. Wait a few minutes before remov-
ing the thermal jug/beaker.
Note: After the brewing cycle has finished, the control lamp (7) switches off after a few minutes. This
indicates that no larger quantities of coffee are left in the filter (3) and the thermal jug/beaker can be
removed. A drip-stop valve prevents subsequent dripping.
Automatic switch-on
If coffee brewing should start automatically at the programmed switch-on time, press the timer but-
ton (
). The currently set switch-on time appears on the display. Use the + and - buttons to set the
time at which you want brewing to start. Confirm this within 5 seconds by pressing the on/off button
(7). The current time appears on the display (6).
Note: When automatic switch-on is activated, all the other keys are disabled. The appliance’s auto-
matic switch-on function can be deactivated by pressing the on/off button (7) again.
WMF Aroma Perfection
The WMF Aroma Perfection function can be activated to brew stronger, more aromatic coffee. It is
particularly recommended for preparing smaller amounts. To do this, press the Aroma (“+”) button.
The
symbol appears on the display (6). Now start the brewing process using the on/off button (7).
Please note that the preparation time is slightly longer.
Stand the thermal jug or thermal mug on the device.
You can cancel brewing at any time by pressing the on/off button (7) again.
Wait a few minutes until all of the coffee has run into the thermal jug/beaker. A drip-stop valve
prevents coffee dripping when you remove the thermal jug/beaker.
Automatic shut-off
The automatic shut-off function prevents overheating when the device is in use. The appliance
switches itself off after a few minutes and the control lamp on the on/off button (7) extinguishes
when all the water has passed through. The appliance may be switched off prematurely by pressing the
on/off button (7) . This may be necessary, for example, if you accidentally start the appliance without
water.
Note: You must wait for a few minutes before removing the thermal jug/beaker or pouring water into
the hot device. Allow the coffee machine to cool beforehand.
