Park call settings and groups
If a user wants to transfer a call to someone who's not likely to be at their desk, they can park the call on the
other user's extension. When the other user is notified that they have a call, they can retrieve the call from
their phone, or from any other phone by recalling it with their extension number.
Managing park call settings
If the park call service is assigned to a site, the site administrator can configure the settings for the users on the
site.
Recalling unanswered calls
If a parked call isn't answered, it is recalled either to the user who parked the call or to a hunt group. This can be
instead of the parking user or only if the parking user doesn't answer the recalled call.
You can choose how long to wait before parked calls are recalled and how long to wait before trying the hunt
group if the parking user doesn't answer the recalled call. You can also select a different ring pattern for
recalled calls so the user knows it is a recall and not a new call.
To set up a hunt group to receive recalled calls
1. Select Site services > Park call settings and groups.
2. In Settings for park call, select the hunt group to receive recalled calls from Recall to alternative user.
3. Select whether you want the hunt group to receive recalled calls after first trying the parking user or instead
of the parking user.
To set up recall ring and timers
1. Select Site services > Park call settings and groups.
2. In Settings for all parked calls, select the pattern you want to use from Ring Pattern for Recalled
Calls.
3. Set Recall Timer to the number of seconds you want to wait before recalling a parked call if it isn't
answered.
4. If you've set up a hunt group to receive recalled calls if the parking user doesn't answer the recalled call, set
Alert Alternate Recall User Wait Time to the number of seconds you want to wait before recalling to the
hunt group.
Managing park call groups
If the park call service is assigned to your site, you can set up park call groups so that calls can be parked
against a group of users rather than an individual. The general park
call settings apply to park call groups
except you can choose a different hunt group as the alternative recall user for each park call group.
