• Now pull the free end of the cu tight

and close the Velcro fastener (Figure 5).

• Check that the measurement arrow

on the cu is within the „Marking for

arm circumference“ on the cu edge

(Figure 6).

With the device switched o, hold down both memory buttons

simultaneously for three seconds to enable the date and time to

be set. Perform the setting as described on page 46.

If you take the opportunity to evaluate your blood pressure val-

ues on a PC, the date and time are automatically compared with

your PC’s system time during the data transfer. In case of devia-

tions, a query will appear on the PC screen asking whether the

device’s date and time should be adjusted.

Before applying the cu, please check that

the circumference of your upper arm is with-

in the range specied on the cu. An incorrect

cu size could result in inaccurate readings.

• Expose your upper arm.

• Push the cu onto the arm until the

lower edge of the cu is 2-3 cm above

the crook of the arm (Figure 1, Figure 2).

7. Attaching the cu

• When placed on the left arm, the air

hose runs down the middle of the

crook of the arm to the device. This

automatically positions the 4-cm long

artery marking and the microphone

above the pulse position (Figure 3).

• When placed on the right arm, the cu

must be rotated to the left until the ar-

tery marking and the microphone are

above the pulse position. The air hose

then runs along the inner side of the upper arm (Figure 4).

Changing the date/time

• Connect the plug of the cu to the cu

connection on the left-hand side of

the device (Figure 7). Ensure that the

cu connector’s microphone plug is

plugged rmly into the device.

• Place the arm with the cu on a table so that

it is loosely stretched out and hold it very

still during the measurement, do not talk.

The palm of your hand should be facing up-

wards.

• Sit at a table (preferably at the height of a dining table, not a

coee table).

Measurement in a sitting position

The measurement should preferably be performed in a sitting

position. Measurements in a lying position are also permitted in

exceptional cases. The body must be in a relaxed position.

8. Body position during the measurement

• Rest your entire lower arm on the table with

the palm facing upwards.

• Sit with your back against the backrest of the

chair.
