If you want to execute a remote control function, you dial your telephone num-

ber. After a few rings your machine will answer your call and emit the outgoing

message. Press # to stop OGM playback and enter your security code. When the

machine accepts your code, you hear a signal. Enter the correct code of the

desired remote control function. As soon as this function has been completed,

you hear a signal. Now you have 10 seconds time to activate another remote

control function or the answering machine wil automatically break the communi-

cation and returns to idle mode.

You can try 6 times to enter the correct security code, then the answering

machine will end the connection.

You can switch off remote control by hanging up or by pressing code 3.

10.1. REMOTE CONTROL FUNCTIONS

A. CODE 1 : Message playback

By pressing this code, the answering machine will first playback the memo mes-

sages followed by the incoming messages. If you have new memo or incoming

messages, only these will be played. When there are no new messages, all mes-

sages will be played.

By pressing “1” during playback, you will introduce a pause and playback will be

stopped. To resume playback, press “1” again. If the received messages last

longer than 90 seconds, the answering machine will automatically end playback

after 90 seconds (pause). You will hear a pause signal and have 10 seconds time

to activate another function or the communication will be broken automatically.

If you rewind or fast forward messages during playback, the timer starts at 0

again after 90 seconds.

B. CODE 2 : Playback commands menu

To activate playback of the commands menu, press code “2”.

C. CODE 3 : Stop/hang up

Press code “3” to stop playback/end the communication.

D. CODE 4 : Rewind : to listen to the previous message

Press code “4” during playback to listen to the previous message.

E. CODE 5 : Repeat : to listen to the same message

Press code “5” during playback to listen to the same message.

8. MEMO MESSAGES

Take the following steps to record a memo :

1. Hold down the Memo button.

2. As soon as you hear the beep tone you can start saying your memo message.

There is no time limit for the recording time of a memo message.

2. Release the Memo button as soon as you have finished your memo.

9. MEMORY FULL

The Orfeo 100 has a recording capacity of 14 minutes.

If the memory is full, the On/Off / Message Counter LED flashes. If a second out-

going message is registered the answering machine automatically switches to

“Answering mode without possibility to leave a message”.

If no second outgoing message is registered, the answering machine will only

answer after 10 rings. You can command your answering machine by remote

control and erase messages.

Only if you have emptied the memory by erasing messages, your answering

machine will switch back to “Answering mode with possibility to leave a mes-

sage”.

10. REMOTE CONTROL

When the Orfeo 100 is switched off, it will answer your call after 10 rings. As

soon as the answering machines answers, it waits 2 seconds and you will hear a

continuous beep tone which lasts 3 seconds. The caller has now 8 seconds time

to enter the security code (point 3.2). When the machine accepts this code, it is

ready to execute remote control functions.

There are 10 different remote control functions. These functions can only be exe-

cuted when the correct security code has been entered.

Remote control of your answering machine is only possible from a tone tele-

phone (with push buttons in tone dialling mode)
