F. CODE 6 : Fast forward : to listen to the next message
Press code “6” during playback to listen to the next message.
G. CODE 7 : Changing the outgoing message
As soon as the answering machine receives this command, you will hear “Record
announcement.”
After the waiting signal, you will enter your new outgoing message. When you
have finished, press “7”. The machine will playback the new outgoing message
automatically for checking. If the outgoing message lasts longer than 60 sec-
onds, the recording will be stopped automatically and the outgoing message will
be played immediately for confirmation. During playback the machine will enter
a pause after 30 seconds. You hear a pause signal.
You have 10 seconds time to activate another function or the communication will
be broken automatically. To resume playback, press “7” again during the pause.
H. CODE 8 : To switch on an answering facility
Press “8” to switch the answering machine on or off. You will hear the message :
“Announcement one/two on” or “Answer off”.
I. CODE 9 : To select an answering facility
Press “9” to select the desired answering facility (with or without the possibility
to leave a message). You hear “Announcement one on “ or “Announcement two
on”.
J. CODE 0 : To erase messages
Press “0” during playback if you want to erase the message you have just heard.
You will hear “Message erased”. After playback of all messages you will hear “End
of messages”. You will hear a waiting signal. If you press “0” now, all messages
will be erased. You hear : All messages erased”.
After every operation, the answering machine emits a waiting signal. This signal
notifies the user to enter a new code. If this is not done within 10 seconds, the
communication will be broken automatically.
Remark : Remote control can be switched off by changing the security code
into 000. When “000” is programmed, it is no longer possible
to execute remote control functions.
11. POWER FAILURE/BATTERY EMPTY
In case of a power failure, the answering machine is inoperative. The battery (not
delivered) saves the registered messages and settings. After the power failure
has been restored, your answering machine will operate as before again.
The battery can only save the registered messages and settings for a couple of
hours. If the power failure lasts longer, these data will be lost and afterwards the
answering machine will switch to “Answering mode with possibility to leave a
message” with default OGM.
The answering machine is equipped with a detector which emits a warning sig-
nal when the battery is almost empty. The Power/Battery Low LED flashes when
the battery is almost empty. You will have to replace the battery.
12. SOLVING PROBLEMS
PROBLEM SOLUTION
1. The Power/Battery Low LED does not light up.
-Check the telephone line connection.
-Check whether the correct adaptor has been used.
-Check whether the wall outlet still works.
2. The answering machine does not respond when a button is being pushed.
-Pull out the phone line/adaptor and reconnect after
a few seconds.
3.The answering machine is switched on but the answering facility does not
work.
-Check whether the answering facility with possibility to leave
a message has been selected.
-If the answering facility without possibility to leave a message
has been selected, check whether an outgoing message was
recorded.
