Note 2:To control 2 devices of the same type and same
make (2Thomson video cassette recorders, 2 Thomson
satellite receivers, etc.) first make sure that these two
devices have been already adjusted to react to different
subcodes (A and B codes onThomsondevices).Thensuc-
cessively program 2 mode keys using method D.
Programming
the remote control
Method A Fast programming with
1-digit subcode
Before you start programming, you must find the
subcode of the set to be controlled.
Refer to the list provided with these instructions,
page I of the subcodes.

2. Hold the SETUP key down until the key cor-
responding to the last selected mode blinks
and then remains lit (the indicator lamp
remains lit for several seconds in order to let
you continue with the following steps. The
blinking of the indicator indicates the end of
the available time, then it goes out).
3. Pressthe key that corresponds to the type of
equipment you want to control:
TV:television set - DVD:DVD player -VCR:video cas-
sette recorder - SAT: satellite / cable - AUDIO: Hifi
system.
4. While the indicator is lit, type in the subcode
(example:1 forTHOMSON).

Proceeding this way will enable you to see
whether the set responds or not.
8. Immediatelyuponthe switching-offof the setto
be controlled,press
OK to store the subcode.
Check of the programming
In principle, your set is ready for receiving the remote
controlcommands.Check your remote control forproper
functioning by performing the test described on page 3.
Method B 4-digit codes

7. Immediatelyupon the switching-off of the set
to be controlled,press
OK to store the code.
