Select a Dynamic Range.

Movies have a wide range of sound volume. In

this "dynamic range", an explosion may be 20dB

louder and the rustle of leaves may be 50dB

quieter than conversation. Sometimes,

depending on viewing environment, loud sounds

need to be heard quieter while soft sounds need

to be heard louder.

Set "Off" to hear a program in the original

dynamic range as recorded on the disc. If you

wish to hear loud sounds quieter and quiet

sounds louder, try a value below "Full".

• The effect of dynamic range control depends

on the degree of dynamic range control, if any,

built in by the disc authors.
