“✽” indicates markers available.
Press again to cancel.
2 Press [ENTER] at
the point you want
to mark.
“✽” changes to a number. Press the cursor buttons ( ) to
highlight another available marker.
Press [MARKER] to clear the display.
This feature allows you to mark a specific point on a disc so you can
return to it easily at a later time. It only works if the elapsed playing
time of the disc you are playing is shown on the unit’s display.

Play resumes from the marked

To clear a marker
1. Press [MARKER].
2. Highlight the marker you want to clear and press [CANCEL].
¡This feature can not be used with some DVDs or when “PBC”
(
a
Page 21) is on.
¡Some subtitles or pictures may fail to appear around the marker
(DVD).
¡Markers are cleared when you turn off the unit or open the disc
tray.
¡Markers are cleared when you change the input mode.

Playing from a marked position
By calling up menus during play, you can start play from a specific
title or chapter.
Menu content depends on disc. These operating instructions
describe the basic steps.
While stopped or playing
1 Press [TOP MENU]
or [MENU].
A menu screen is displayed.
(Press again to return to what
you were watching with some
discs.)
2 Select an item with
the cursor buttons
( ) and press
[ENTER] to confirm
the selection.
You can select items with the numbered buttons with some
discs.
Repeat if another menu is shown.
DVDs can have several menus. The menu displayed by pressing
[TOP MENU] may be different to the menu displayed by pressing
[MENU].
