steam production will start again. However, if the steaming unit requires more water,
proceed as described on page 4.
When the food is cooked, unplug and allow the appliance to cool slightly in order to
eliminate all the steam. Carefully remove the steaming baskets using oven gloves or
another thermal hand protection. DO NOT TOUCH THE STEAMING BASKET OR THE
STEAMING UNIT UNTIL THEY HAVE COOLED. Remove the food and add seasonings, if
desired.
Allow any water to cool before emptying and cleaning.
Your appliance is provided with a suitable container for rice and other small foodstuffs
(e.g. semolina) that should not be placed in the translucent baskets because those are
pierced.
On the bottom of the translucent baskets there are hollow round housings especially
conceived to place eggs for cooking.
Hints:
When cooking rice, we advise you to cover it with hot water in order to accelerate the
cooking process.
It is possible to cook foodstuffs with very different cooking times but this needs frequent
operations to take away the food that will be ready. To avoid this, it is recommended to
prepare foodstuffs with similar cooking times.
Frozen food does not need to be defrosted beforehand, but its cooking time will be
longer.
CARE AND CLEANING
The baskets, the drip tray and the lid may be washed with soapy water. Never use
abrasive cleaners to clean your appliance: it could damage the surfaces.
To simplify the cleaning of the baskets, it is possible to release their bottom. To do so, press
on the bottom towards the inside of the basket. To reassemble them, proceed inversely,
pressing the bottom down until you hear a click.
The body of the appliance should be washed with a smooth cloth or with a slightly damp
towelling.
Never immerse the body in water or any other liquid.
