General Information
Making home-made fries
For best results, we recommend using frozen fries. If you want to make homemade fries, follow the steps below:
1. Choose a variety of potatoes recommended for making fries. Peel the potatoes and cut them into fries of equal
thickness.
2. Soak the fries in a bowl of cold water for at least 30 minutes, drain and dry with a clean, absorbent tea towel.
Then blot with kitchen paper. The fries must be thoroughly dry before they are cooked.
3. Pour ½ tablespoon of oil (vegetable, sunflower or olive) into a dry bowl. Place the fries on top and mix until
coated with oil.
4. Remove the fries from the bowl with your fingers or kitchen utensils, leaving excess oil in the basket. Put the
fries in the basket.
Note: Do not tilt the tray of oil-coated fries directly into the basket in one go, otherwise excess oil will end
up on the bottom of the frying basket.
5. Fry the fries according to the instructions in Table 2: Cooking guide.
Cleaning
Clean the appliance after every use.
The basket and the baking tray have a non-stick coating. Do not use metal utensils or abrasive cleaners to
clean them, as this may damage the non-stick coating.
1. Remove the plug from the socket and let the device cool down. Note: Remove the frying basket to let the
airfryer cool down faster.
2. Wipe the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth.
3. Clean the basket and the roasting pan with hot water, some washing-up liquid and a non-abrasive sponge. A
degreasing fluid can be used to remove any remaining dirt.
Note: The basket and baking tray are dishwasher safe. Tip: If there is dirt on the bottom of the basket
and the frying basket, fill them with hot water and some washing-up liquid. Let the bowl and grid soak
for about 10 minutes. Then rinse it clean and dry.
4. Wipe the inside of the appliance with warm water and a damp cloth.
5. Clean the heating element with a dry cleaning brush to remove any food residue.
6. Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
Storage
1. Remove the plug from the socket and let it cool down.
2. Make sure all parts are clean and dry.
3. Store the appliance in a dry and well-ventilated area. Avoid direct sunlight on the appliance.
